This shore excursion combines our classic All-in-One Best of Berlin trip with a brief visit to the largest concentration camp near Berlin: Sachsenhausen.
We will pick you up directly at your cruise ship docking in Warnemünde or Rostock, and bring you to Berlin to see the city's essential sites. You will then be driven to Sachsenhausen Concentration Camp for an overview of the memorial site.
Please be aware, Sachsenhausen is roughly a one hour drive from Berlin. The tour is organized to minimize time spent on the bus. This is why we visit Sachsenhausen in the afternoon, as it lies on the way back to port. More time, however, is spent on the bus than on our regular Berlin shore excursion.
All of our shore excursions are adjusted to each ship’s docking times and each starts promptly after your vessel’s arrival, returning with plenty of time to spare before its departure. We have been organizing shore excursions for nearly a decade and have never missed a cruise ship’s departure.

Our day in Berlin was outstanding — not just because of the history but more importantly because of our guide, Nick. He had an encyclopedic knowledge of the events that took place and was masterful at putting them into context.

My family enjoyed this excursion. Although the thoughts of the things that happened at the concentration camps are very unpleasant, this tour was very informative and educational to everyone.

Nick was absolutely fantastic! He was extremely knowledgeable and made the overall experience a great one! Yes, you don't get to explore much of Berlin on foot as time is limited, but that was expected. Overall, this was a great experience and we're glad that we took this excursion for our day ashore.

This tour was absolutely amazing and what it amazing was our tour guide Nick. Nick was FULL of so much history and explained everything in detail. The concentration camp was a great place to see and hear all about the beginnings of the horrors that took place. The tour around Berlin was full of stops at all the great historical landmarks with enough time to take great pictures and even grab a quick bite to eat. Be advised, if your taking this trip from yea cruise ship, the drive to and from the cruise ship is 3 hours each way.

Nick was a fantastic tour guide. The itinerary was jam packed and a perfect way to see as much of Berlin in a 12 hour span. I recommend.

It is a long ride from the port to downtown Berlin and with construction going on it took us over 4 hours to get to our first stop, the former concentration camp. Other than that it was an informative trip and the guide was excellent. Because of the long bus ride everything else was a bit hurried.
