What To Expect Arrive at Berlin’s Historic Centre, where you’ll meet your knowledgeable guide. Begin your walking and eating exploration by heading to Berlin’s street art filled alleyways, Historic Jewish Quarter local bars getting to know the city's turbulent history from 1865 and 1989. If you start to feel hungry for more than just information, not to worry: a stop at one of Berlin’s best kebab shops is just around the corner. Continue your foot-powered food adventure as you explore some of East Berlin’s trendiest art galleries, Soviet-era boulevards and colourful street art before taking a break for ‘Flammkuchen,’ a flatbread style German tart at a local restaurant. You’ll also stop by another boutique bakery, where you can sample a variety of cakes and pastries. Still have room for more tasty snacks? Enjoy some Currywurst, with a homemade cold war special sauce, one of Berlin’s most iconic sausage meals. You’ll finish your trip at a local brewery to taste a fresh German beer.

Francisco was an excellent guide. He knew Berlin history, lots of great info about the local areas we were in. And about the places we ate. The food was all excellent. Great variety and flavors. We had a great time and would recommend this tour to anyone. We are not young but the pace was easy and we also were lucky to have a diverse group.

Really enjoyed this walking tour. Felix was very knowledgable and relaxed. There was a lady with a bad leg on our tour and he made sure to not race when walking which is always nice…

The food was plentiful so make sure you only have a small breakfast before this one. We ended up hunting down the Kebap place again a few nights later.

I’ve never been to Berlin before so this was a nice way to ease myself in! 100% book this tour.

This was an incredibly fun and memorable experience from start to finish and I'd recommend it to anyone I know traveling to Berlin in a heartbeat! Our tour guide, Francesco, was fantastic... he had a great personality and had us laughing the entire time while also sharing fun historical facts about the areas we were passing through. The food and drinks were delicious and we were all stuffed by the end of the tour!

HIGHLIGHTS:
- Our tour guide was on time and the tour started right away after some introductions
- The first stop for half a Berlin kebab was the perfect amount of food to start with
- Sweet treats were sprinkled throughout (second stop and again at the end)
- Historical facts about Berlin and WWII were shared as we passed through different areas and while we ate
- Opportunities to use the restroom at some of the stops
- Accommodations were made for non-drinkers
- Never felt rushed eating at any of the stops
- Tour guide was funny, engaging, and extremely personable

The food obviously may vary slightly depending on availability but here's what our tour included:
- Half a Berlin kebab
- Cherry tart (I think it was a kirschstreusel)
- Beer/beverage of choice from a market
- Currywurst to share
- Shared sit down meal with 2 drinks per person, pork knuckle with roast potatoes and sauerkraut, käsespätzle (might have gotten that wrong), and flammkuchen
- Two halves of two different flavors of local donuts

I've done other food tours and this was one of my favorites... mostly because Francesco was so fun and engaging! I'll definitely be booking future food tours through Secret Food Tours because this was such a great experience.

Francesco was the most lively and exciting guide to have on our entire trip. Many great experiences and foods, the trip did run a little longer than expected but no one seemed to mind because of the great company. A+

Secret Food Tours is the best company to use for a Food Tour. I recommend them for any location that they service. The one we took in Berlin was fantastic! You get a little history and a LOT of food. We add on the beverage package just to get the pairings and a bit of local flavor.

Was a fun 3 hours, hosted by Daniel who was very enthusiastic and knowledgeable. We didn't walk very far between stops and had a variety of sweet and savoury, a couple of beers or wine if preferred. However I did feel the tour was somewhat overpriced for what we did receive.

Francesco was amazing! Truly this was the highlight of our trip to Berlin. Francesco was very knowledgeable, very sweet and kept the entire group engaged and laughing even thought there were travellers from the age 24 too 87.. A grouptour for all ages! The different food we tried during the tour, was delicious, and there was more than enough for everyone. A great way to talk to other travellers, experience the city and learn more about the history.
I would highly recommend. Now I'm going to look for these secret food tours wherever I go!
