My wife and I booked this tour because we have had good luck with food tours in other cities. We often learn a lot about the city as well as the local foods. This one seemed ideal as it combined craft beer and food.
Our tour lasted from 4:00 - 7:30. It’s a very good tour if you want to sample different styles of beer and learn about beer, German beers in particular. We had 7 beers of different styles and various serving sizes. We visited 3 different bars and walked about 20 minutes or so in total. I thought we might be able to buy additional beers but that was only an option at the last venue where the tour ended.
The food was disappointing. I was expecting a variety of German foods or German bar foods. Instead we got fried cauliflower, fried onion rings and a flatbread dish. The flatbread was a local dish and was very good. The cauliflower and onion rings were generic bar food and nothing special.
Alex was our guide. He was friendly and did a great job of explaining the different beers and how they’re brewed. He also pointed out a few interesting things as we toured the neighborhood.
Our tour group consisted of about 12 people primarily from English-speaking countries. Half the group was friendly and half the group was very stand-offish.
We liked the tour but didn’t love it. We know a lot about beer and were much more interested in the food which was not very good. The tour is ideal if you want to learn about beer or, more specifically, German beer.

The drinks and snacks felt a little light considering the price, especially compared to other food/beer tours I've been on. But the guide made up for it in spades - such a cool guy, knows his stuff, loves his work, and it really shows. His enthusiasm was infectious and even though we didn't have the same tastes in beer (it's more craft like the title says) I still enjoyed trying out everything he recommended. Met some really fun people as well, and we hung out after at the last bar. Don't remember much after that!

My son and I had a fantastic time on this tour. Alex, our guide, was knowledgeable about beer and Berlin's history. The beer was delicious and the company was excellent. Plus, I appreciated the follow-up email that detailed a bunch of other fun things to do and great restaurants to check out. It was everything we were hoping it would be, and i would highly recommend taking this tour on your first night in the city.

A fun evening, informative and visited an area of Berlin we would not have seen. Our guide was very informative of the area and the craft. The breweries we visited were very local and reflected the area vibe well.

This was an excellent tour! The communication before and after the tour was excellent! Margot texted me before I even before I left the U.S. on my trip to ask a question. I was running late on the day of the tour and was able to text her to find out where to meet the group. Alex is extremely knowledgeable on beers, the beer making process, and history. I learned a few things, but was mainly there to sample different beers, enjoy some local food, and the social aspect. This tour has a nice variety of beers, education, walking tour, and food tastings. Margot and Alex understand customer service and providing a quality tour. I could tell you more, but I don't want to spoil the experience for others. Cheers!

Anna was an excellent guide through this unique portion of East Berlin. She provided history and pointed out highlights. The beer and food portion was so well done - great balance of trying new things and sampling old favorites. Anna clearly knew her stuff and was great to learn from. So enjoyed the experience!
