This was a great experience overall. I took my two boys - age 13 and 10 - and they enjoyed it as well. We did the engineering and gun tours which ended up being a lot of walking but it was a really unique experience and I'm very glad we had the opportunity to experience this great ship and piece of history together! I'd recommend it to anyone visiting the LA area, well-worth the money!

We did the private guided tour and our guide was great. A wealth of knowledge and very personable. It was money well spent and anyone who has any curiosity about military ships and what our guys had to endure in WWII should tour the Iowa.

Words cannot describe the feeling of being in this most impressive ship. Being the grandson of a WW2 veteran, I love and appreciate all of our rich history! This ship is the very definition of history and I’m glad to see that she’s still afloat and open for all to enjoy and learn.

Highly recommend touring the USS Iowa. It is a wonderful example of military history. We took the extra tour of the engineering section and gun section which I highly recommend you do. Even though it’s a long walk, it is well worth your time to relive the experiences of the crew of the Iowa. Our tour guides were very informative and helpful during the tour to make the experience pleasurable. I plan to return to take the top side experience to get another view of the ship.

Had a great time at the Iowa with my sons for Thanksgiving. Very informational, lots of history, inspiring, Loyd is the best - go on Saturday if you can to have a chance to meet a living legend. Wish we could have fired the guns :)

It was very educational. It was nice to see how it was back in the day. My dad was in the Navy on the battleship, so I really enjoyed seeing what it was like for him.

It was our first time on the USS Iowa and upon arrival boy it was bigger than expected. Been wanting to come for years and finally today was the day. So we did the self your and it took us 2 hours because there is just so much detail to see and read as well as history. If you are into ships, and ww2 this is it. If you are a fan of the popular game world of warships well why dont you come on down you will love it. Will definitely come back someday…hopefully.

We had an excellent time aboard the USS Iowa. We did the Gun Tour which was over 2.5 hours & was fabulous. So much to see! Very much enjoyed our visit. Our tour guide did an great job on the Gun Tour & was very knowledgeable about the history of the ship & the mechanics.
