Listed are some of the wineries we visit and we have close relationships with 40 local Barossa Cellar Doors. A good day is 4 Wineries and Lunch that is Included. Wineries are selected in advance by our driver on all shared tours. We will strive to give you the best Barossa Experience.

Looking to experience breathtaking scenery of the amazing wine region of Barossa Valley with a local viewpoint? Take your Day Tour in a 6 seat or max 12 seat Vehicle.

CP Tours and Charters is ready to serve your every need where we will pick you up from your Hotel / Motel location at 8:30am and return at 5pm approx.

Tours include standard wine tasting fees from wineries and lunch at Kies Family Wines or Lamberts Estate. Wine tasting is included at both venues. Kies does not do lunch on a Tuesday.
Non standard wine tasting experiences are extra and not included in package. Private charters have the options of customer selected lunch venues and cellar door options.

Arrive back in Adelaide approx. 5pm.

1. Chateau Yaldara
Chateau Yaldara, founded by Hermann Thumm, has become known throughout the Barossa Valley as a beloved winery. Situated just outside of Lyndoch, we pride ourselves on creating a wide range of exceptional wines that can be enjoyed by anyone for any occasion.
2. Kies Family Wines
Tina and Michael opened the cellar door in 1985. Tina remembers the opening well, “it really was just a run down little cottage, once used as a Chaff Mill…” The little cottage was subsequently renovated, with the help of family and opened in January 1985. The day of the opening was stinking hot (40°c) and there was no air–conditioning; to top it all off Tina was pregnant and nearly due with Bronson, her eldest son…” From 1985 the Kies Family Wines philosophy was “not to get bigger just get better”. Their focus has always been on “quality not quantity”. This is why they keep the wine production small so as to keep the quality and its distinctive varietal characters. Also is our Lunch Stop.
3. Rusden Wines
We tend the vineyard by hand, and more recently as our winery has grown, we adhere to traditional methods in the cellar. Our focus is on traditional Barossa varieties and blends, however we are not afraid to give different varieties a go as Australia’s wine industry is still in its infancy. Our vineyard is in Vine Vale; our terroir is deep white sand over red clay. We believe that Vine Vale is the most versatile and consistent grape growing district on the Barossa Valley floor. Our wines have a unique character with balance and structure.
4. Murray Street Vineyards
Since its founding in 2001, Murray Street has grown to become one of the Barossa Valley's largest family-owned estates. Murray Street has earned a reputation for producing outstanding artisan wines and is recognised by Trip Advisor as a favourite Barossa Valley destination. With Ben Perkins serving as Head Winemaker, Murray Street is writing a new chapter in artisan winemaking, bringing bright, fruit-forward, food-friendly, ready to enjoy wines to market with the Spring 2022 release of our newly hand-crafted Artisan wine series.
5. 1847 Wines Rowland Flat
WELCOME TO 1847 WINERY & VINEYARDS Enjoy an opportunity to experience our portfolio of 1847 premium wines. Our winemakers honour our story which starts with the very origins of the Barossa Valley. Immerse yourself in our properties 175-year history as you enjoy your experience with our outstanding cellar door team. After your tasting our guests are welcome to enjoy a walk around our beautiful gardens and estate. The land grant on our historic Rowland Flat property was proclaimed by the Governor in 1847. The origins of our property begin with Bavarian immigrant Johann Gramp, who in 1847 planted the first commercial vineyard in the Barossa Valley. 1847 Winery Group has now grown to encompass 200 acres of premium estate vineyards that are the source of the majority of our premium wine portfolio. We look forward to welcoming you to 1847.
6. Chateau Tanunda
Château Tanunda, birthplace of the Barossa, was established in 1890 and is the site of some of the Valley’s first vines planted as well as its first winery. The majestic bluestone winery and vineyards is a living testament to the colourful history and pioneering spirit of Australia’s most famous wine region. Now, thanks to the passion and dedication of the Geber family, this iconic Barossa estate is celebrated amongst the top wineries in Australia, as it recognises 130 years of fine winemaking in 2020. With the ‘Old Vines Expressions’ and ‘The Everest’ Wines, Château Tanunda receives regular international recognition by renowned wine critics and wine shows for producing some of the best wines in the world. The signature 150 Year Old Vines 1858 Field Blend, 100 Year Old Vines Shiraz as well as The Everest Old Vine Grenache and The Everest Shiraz are treasured by wine critics, wine lovers and wine collectors alike.
7. Grant Burge Cellar Door
Grant Burge Wines was established by a fifth-generation Barossa vigneron and winemaker. Throughout his career, Grant has been one of the most respected and innovative forces in the Australian wine industry. The history of the Burge family and their long association with winemaking in the region can be traced back to March 1855, when noted tailor John Burge immigrated to the Barossa from Hillcot, near Pewsey in Wiltshire, England with his wife Eliza and their two sons. John worked as a winemaker at Hillside Vineyards and his love of viticulture was passed onto his son Meshach, who continued the tradition making his first wine in 1865, while becoming a prominent community leader. Meshach married Emma in 1883 and they had eight children. First-born Percival established the Wilsford Winery near Lyndoch in 1928. Percival had two sons, Noel and Colin, and Colin and his wife Nancy had one son, Grant. Following in the footsteps of his father and forefathers.

Great tour, on time pickup from hotel, small friendly group, great driver. Visited some lovely vineyards and didn't have to pay any sampling fees.

Great wine tastings (Chateau Yaldara was the highlight) however quite an expensive tour for the very basic lunch recieved.

We had an amazing experience yesterday. In the small group (only 5 of us) visiting 4 beautiful wineries, doing tastings and tours. Lunch is Kiels wine was delicious and the attention was unbelievable. Roy was our driver, apart from being kind and very funny, he guided us along the whole trip, telling us a lot stories about the region. Highly recommend this tour with CP Tours.

This was a fantastic tour and Alan our guide was very knowledgeable and entertaining. The wineries we went to were amazing and everyone was so friendly and accomodating not to mention how outstanding the wines were . I left my hat on the mini bus and Alan returned it to the hotel the following day, thanks again Alan !

The driver Roy was great and entertaining. It was a beautiful day to see so many high quality wineries. Everything felt luxurious and relaxed. We took our time and personalised our trip. Glad we booked this tour

Roy was on time, tailored the trip to our needs and was entertaining from beginning to end with Dad jokes and false facts (kangaroos do fart). The wine was lovely as were the locations. Highly recommend.

Booked a solo wine tour and met some lovely people. The wineries went into detail and I learned more about the grapes and the wine making process than I have ever had the pleasure of learning in past experiences. Pick-up and drop-off was well timed, the lunch was delicious, the other little stop (Maggie Beers) was good fun.
