My husband is a picky eater and our tour guide tried to accommodate this by asking about our preferences ahead of time. The tour wasn’t at the usual meeting place which is usually around the Gothic quarter. We agreed to it so that this would give us an opportunity to see another neighborhood (Montjuic). The tour was within a 2 block radius so we didn’t get to see much since we selected 6 tastings in 2 hours. Our guide was friendly and personable and we went to 3 local spots that were not “touristy “. I enjoyed the sample choices our guide had us try that I wouldn’t have ordered on my own. Unfortunately my husband enjoyed 3 of the 6 samples and he doesn’t drink. I enjoyed the vermouth and he just had water throughout the tour. It just didn’t seem to be worth $240. We went to eating places that served more good food for $50 for 2 compared to the small sample choices we had for 2. This tour seems to be better with 3 or more in order to taste a wide variety.Especially if one person is picky you can still have more of a variety that’s worthwhile. Not the tour guide’s fault as she doesn’t control pricing, and there are plenty of food choices in Barcelona even for picky people.

Maria was a delightful host with a charming and casual manner. The choice of food and drink provided a unique insight to Catalan culture and lifestyle. Maria selected little places that offered big surprises in taste and ambiance. Definitely try the Catalan vermouth.

A perfect afternoon walking, exploring and sampling typical tapas in the historic area of Barcelona. Charming Liliia offered easy paced, fun and informative insights to everyday eating and social habits of the people of Barcelona. She took into consideration my husbands blindness while guiding and introducing us thru the old streets to different shops for tapas and cava, organic olive oil sampling with the shopkeeper and ending with enjoying the best melted chocolate and churros. Liliia later provided us suggestions for restaurants to try. The tour did not disappoint and we would highly recommend this tour.

The tour with Maria was as wonderful as we expected. It truly was like being with a friend who shares what they love about their city with you! Always the best of any travel. Maria is personable, enthusiastic about her city, and it was a joy to spend time with her.
We picked her as her dog looks so similar to mine! Dog lovers are wonderful people! She also loves her boyfriend’s cat!
Churros and hot chocolate (melted chocolate! ), tapas, pinchuras, vermut- all delicious and a wonderful memory. nWe cannot recommend Maria enough! If I am ever back, I would book her for another tour!

This tour is awesome! Hannah met iis at the meeting point on time. The meeting point is a historical building that is currently vacant so don’t look for a restaurant just the address. Hannah quickly got things moving and we went to one of the local markets to look at and taste some of the Catalonia foods. The entire tour was well paced and great combinations of local food and drinks. So many of these types are just bar hopping but this was truly a historical walk and food experience through several beautiful neighborhoods of the city. Hannah had amazing insight especially into the history of some of the Guadi buildings and other art pieces that without her we would have simply walked past.
