Georgia was a fabulous guide. She informed of the background information about Venice and Murano. The glass tour was quicker than the two hours so she gave us a bit more info around San Marco square.

Two hour tour. The guide that pick us up in San Marco was very good. Very informative. Went to murano. Saw about 15 minutes of glass blowing. Got to look at all the stuff they had for sale. We were done and back in San Marco in an hour. Seemed like we paid a good amount of money for a sales pitch

We booked a 2 hour tour. We were the only ones on the tour. The guide picked us up and gave a nice briefing on the history of murano. We got to the glass blowing factory. Saw 1 glass blower make a pitcher. Took about 15 minutes. Then shown to a gallery where there are very beautiful and very expensive pieces. We were back and done in an hour. Overall felt like we paid a bunch of money for a sales pitch.

More selling Murano glass than showing the production process. In and out in 2 hours. Saw nothing other than the glass factory and showroom

Leonardo was a great guide! He was very knowledgeable about the sites and had fun facts from his own experience living in Venice. I wanted a particular Murano vase and he knew where to go on the island to find the right artisan. We would never have found it without him :)

We booked a private tour for a party of four with water taxi. We had to share the water taxi and the first half of the guided tour with another party of four.

What an experience! We were picked up by a private water taxi and taken to the island of Murano at the dock for a very special glass factory. During the trip, our guide provided us with some interesting insights into the island of Murano as well as glass making. We have attended glass blowing demonstrations in the past and had a good feel for what to expect. Our expectations were blown away!

As we entered, we were greeted by our guide at the glass factory. We felt like we were walking into a fantasy land where glass sculptures were integrated into the natural landscape. It felt like a cross between LegoLand and Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory. I knew these items were made of glass, but some of them were impossible to believe. I found myself constantly asking "This is made of glass?" The showroom was outstanding and we learned about the different styles of glass that are crafted by the artists. I could have spent all day in the showroom and still would have found new items to explore the next day.

Following our tour of the showroom, we moved to the hot box where sat on a comfortable couch and observed the artists making different glass pieces. It was riveting. Our guide continued to provide us with examples of the pieces they were making and we were able to view some of the raw materials that were used.

After the demonstration, we exited to the glass store where we again, were blown away by the pieces available for sale. There were so many different items to see. It was nice to have a variety of options to consider for purchase that included highly valuable one-of-a-kind showpieces, wall art, stylish every day glassware, and ornaments as well as many other items.

This was our last day in Venice and it definitely ended our trip on a high note!

Our hotel secured us a private tour with a family member at the Murano New Museum .
Manny was really lovely .
Everything seemed very real
And authentic .
I believed that the artists were really making these insane chandeliers right before us .
When we got to the museum I found them almost expecting us to buy something .
And the prices were pretty hi .
I found something I loved and hops I wasn’t taken advantage of .
They insisted
That they do not sell their stuff online however I did find a website and the stuff was way cheaper than they had it for .
It’s very interesting to see .
Almost like a show with actors .
I’d recommend it to everyone .
Be up front from the start about the purchase .

We were thinking that we would be picked up by a paid contractor. We were shocked when it was a nephew of the master glassblower himself! They shuttled us easily to Murano and back, even dropping us closer to our next site. The workshop experience of watching one of these artists at work? INCREDIBLE!!! then experiencing the gallery and the mind blowing creations after learning how it's done? I'll never look at it as anything other than the highest art! Definitely recommend!!!
