This was a fabulous evening, the tour guide Yaya was great fun and very knowledgeable… we tried lots of different foods and definitely felt like we got our money’s worth…
It was a group tour, we were lucky the Greek girls we we with were fantastic… with six of us it was perfect.
There was, of course the obligatory visit to the carpet shop and the herbs shop 🤣

Absolutely worth it. Came to Marrakech for work. Didn't have much time to explore the city, so I wanted to do something that wasn't time consuming yet still memorable and could give me a sense of the Moroccan culture. Not only did we get to taste the food, we also had the chance to interact with the merchants and see the very corners of the old market, which I truly appreciate and enjoy.

Btw, the guide, Yahya, was everything that you could ask for from a tour guide. He was friendly, patient and understanding. I was alone, waiting at the wrong meeting point. I was so anxious because of this, but he called me and helped solve things out on the phone. Whoever hired him should give him a raise!

And I really enjoyed the company of the people in the tour. There were four other people in the tour. Because the group was small, I was able to relax and it almost felt like a private tour.

What I thought was going to be a disaster ended up being one of the most memorable nights in my life :)

The BEST experience in Morocco! There are really no words to describe this tour. It is authentic, fun, informative, under priced. And my guide Yaya is just an incredible person. So, I joined the tour as a solo female traveler. Yaya met us at the main plaza, then he took us to try 16 different authentic Moroccan food! 16! .. on a previous night , I visited a very expensive restaurant and tried some of those dishes. Believe me, Yaya’s cook choices were a lot better than the expensive restaurant. After walking through the main square and having some food like sheep, snails, olives, Yaya took us inside the famous Semarine souks to try a huge variety of seeds and desserts. While walking around these places , Yaya kept explaining a lot about Moroccan culture overall, history, the places, and of course the cuisine. So basically after this tour you don’t need to book another tour to the Jema El Fna plaza or the souks… Then, I was surprised to find out that the tour also included a stop at true best rated herbalist store where a guide presented to us the rich variety of herbal medicine and cooking spices in Morocco while offering some nice mint tea. Then, we walked again inside the souks to go to an Amazing restaurant with traditional Marrakech cuisine.. although by that time I was extremely full, I ate everything at the restaurant bc it was so good. Finally, Yaya was SO kind to walk me and another traveler to an excellent rugs store as I was looking for one. Not only that, we exchanged WhatsApp numbers with Yaya and he literally was always available through text for any doubt or question about the rest of my visit to Marrakech.

Overall, this was one of the best tours I have even done in any country. I’m truly thankful for it.

Recommendations: don’t have lunch before the tour, do it on the first night of your stay in Marrakech and you won’t need to book another Medina tour

We had such a fun experience with Yahya. Small friendly group with lots of food!! Make sure to go hungry cause you will definitely fill up. Moderate fitness required and make sure to wear good comfy shoes as there is a lot of walking involved which does help with the full stomach. We sampled everything from soups, snails, teas, macarons, nuts, to a wonderful dinner. Yahya knows his way around food and explains the story behind everything you eat drink adn experience. The Herbalife stop was a good quick break to get your hands on (not obligatory) some good produce such as argan oil etc. as well as a rest for the stomach after all that lovely food.

Excelent guide and tour. Highly recommended.
Authentic Marocan cuisine. Well looked after. The macaroons from the old lady was excellent, better than the French macaroons!
