The Aurora Jäger guide never gives up and finds the aurora almost every time. He will take you to his secret spots. Be prepared for a long night, hours in the car, and waiting outside in all kinds of weather and temperatures. The Aurora Jäger will go to extreme lengths to find lady Aurora. He will teach you how to capture a northernlights photo and will be happy to photograph you under the northern lights.
The tour starts at Svinøya Rorbuer, but the guide can pick you up nearby on request.

Wow, just wow. The weather in Svolvar was terrible so I wasn’t holding out much hope, but Dave our guide found some amazing spots, 100% would recommend.

We spontaneously booked the last two places with Ott-Peter. The weather seemed great... we were going to a wonderful place... without success... the lady didn't show up. Instead, we were provided with hot drinks and cinnamon rolls...
The next stop seemed even better... much darker and a great sky... after hours we drove on... one last stop - again without success, but we had a great super moon. On the way home, Ott-Peter suddenly stopped and said he saw her... none of us saw anything, it could also have been because we had been on the road for five hours (yes, the start was at 9 p.m., now it's already after 2 a.m.😳)... and actually... we saw the green stripe faintly, very faintly...
We thank Ott-Peter for this great trip, the many stories, the lots of information and the perseverance in finding Lady Aurora with and for us at the beginning of the season.

A new years eve to remember. The trip started out quietly with cloudy skies, but then the conditions changed and Odd Petter knew exactly were to go to see the best lights. And then there it was, an amazing pink aurora. Just magical. And then rounded off watching the fireworks for new years eve in Solvaer. Odd Petter is so enthusiastic about the lights I will remember his excitement for a very long time

Odd-Petter is the best! Very jolly and knowledgeable about the Aurora and all things in Lofoten. The best is how much he lives for the aurora. He loves her like his wife and is as excited, if not more, than you to spot them. We got very lucky on our excursion. The sky exploded in pink and aqua marine bands and even the prismatic corona shape. However, if you are not as lucky, no fear, Odd-Petter never gives up and will drive all night to Sweden if he has to. He WILL find you aurora.
As a street and architectural photographer, I had zero experience shooting the night sky, let alone aurora, but Odd-Petter gave me advice for my settings which helped me shoot amazing images throughout our time in Lofoten. Many thanks!

Odd-Petter is a great guide! He knows how to find “her” and will not stop until he does. S to hang out with and has good sense of humor. Most importantly he loves the Aurora’s and wants everyone to experience them. My adult daughter and I had a great evening.

I booked the Aurora Jager tour with Discover Lofoten Tours. The guy in charge Pete is the same one bringing us around chasing after the Northern Lights.We had another guest join us so a total of 5 people went on his tour. We started at around 8.50pm and immediately Pete drove to the northern part of Lofoten where we saw our first Aurora. It was not moving and at first and then all of aq sudden it exploded in different streaks across the sky. You could see the aurora moving around in the sky and it was a great sight! After the aurora slowly disappeared, we moved on to the next location. After driving for a short time, suddenly Pete got excited and stopped the van, letting us out to see another Aurora. Again it seemed to flow from one end of the sky to another, and I could even take the photos on my iphone with night mode.Pete also used his professional camera and took pictures of us with the Aurora. After the 2nd one, we thought probably that was it, a good experience already with 2. But no, this happened again and again. We just stopped when he spotted an aurora forming in the sky. I believe we saw at least 4 times, with the last time being so bright it resembled the one you see in photos with any touch ups! It was a really strong one and lighted up the night sky like a huge green cloud! We must have taken close to a hundred photos on our phones.It was unbelievable because I had read that you would be considered fortunate to see one, but 4 good ones in 1 night? Amazing! I highly recommend going for this tour if you truly want the best chance of seeing Aurora, because Pete showed that he knows what he is doing and where to find the Auroras!

Odd Petter provided us with an amazing experience. We were originally scheduled on a night that was bad, so he suggested that we go out the following evening instead. We followed his expertise and took that advice, the next evening the weather also was not promising, it was raining all day. However, Odd Petter was somehow still able to find beautiful viewing experiences of the Northern Lights. We would not have been able to find this had we gone out on our own. In addition to his expertise, he has a big personality making the experience fun. Mamma Mia!!
