Embark on a mesmerizing journey through Morocco's High Atlas valleys with a skilled guide, exploring scenic wonders like Ourika, Oukaimeden, Asni, and Ait Fares. Ismail, our driver, not only ensured safety but also immersed us in the local experience, demonstrating kindness by engaging with villagers' children.

While breakfast proved to be a mere taster, the delicious and ample Berber lunch compensated well for our small group of six. Ismail's considerate gestures extended beyond driving, creating a warm connection with the community.

Ridwhan, our mountain climbing guide, played a pivotal role, offering crucial support during the challenging hike. His assistance was instrumental, making the climb attainable for me and others who felt the mountains calling. A heartfelt thanks to the entire team for their professional and wholehearted recommendation, making this tour an unforgettable experience.

This one starts early and takes almost the entire day - but you will not be disappointed. One thing needs mentioning - the first valley is a proper hike and it does require a proper footwear as you will be climbing up to reach the waterfall and beyond. On top of that, if you are visiting Morocco between November and January make sure you take warm clothing as it tends to be very cold in the early hours of the morning,
On to the excursion, our guide for the day was just brilliant - keeping us entertained during the drive and providing a lot of interesting facts about Marrakech as well as Morocco. The sceneries along this trip are just beautiful and astonishing. The first stop takes place at the argan oil manufacturing where you will be treated to a traditional Moroccan breakfast and quick presentation of the many products and benefits of argan oil. After completing the first valley you will stop for tea/drink break sitting next to calm river current. For the remaining valleys you will be taken directly to the view points without the need for any hiking. During the trip you will be taken to a Berber family for a traditional lunch.
The hike/climb at the first valley was supervised by a very experienced guide, that despite some difficult sections of the path, made sure everyone made it safe and satisfied back to the starting point.
RECOMMENDATION: As this trip will also take place in areas affected by the earthquake, you will see houses that got completed destroyed and where people lost their lives. Along the way you will see a lot of children that still live in those areas. If you want to make their day and see a smile on their face grab a bag or two of sweets that you can hand out as you make your way through the 5 valleys.

I travelled to Marrakesh with my sons and we booked this trip, what a wonderful day! The night before we received confirmation of collection time, the name of our driver, a reminder to bring a warm coat and wear trainers . Our driver, Mohammed, was on time and the VW van was clean, comfortable and there was bottled water inside, he drove safely, was knowledgeable and answered all our many questions. Our first stop was the Argan Oil cooperative where we enjoyed hearing about and seeing the process whilst enjoying mint tea and freshly made bread and dips - honey, Argan oil and crushed peanuts in Argan oil, all delicious. We then went to meet our local guide, Abdullatiff (forgive spelling) and hiked to the Ourika falls, trainers essential as the rocks were quite slippery towards the top. Abdul was most knowledgeable and an excellent guide ensuring our safety at all times, the fresh mint tea sitting by the river on the brightly coloured cushions watching the world go by was really very special. Then onwards, each valley is so very different, we passed many long haired goats being tended by their shepherds and dogs as they grazed roadside or in the low trees as we headed towards lunch. We received a lovely warm welcome from our Berber hosts, two sisters, who had spent the morning cooking. We sat on the roof terrace and enjoyed the spectacular scenery, lunch was delicious - freshly made soup, a tomato side salad and still warm bread followed by chicken tagine, couscous with courgettes and peppers on top followed by mint tea and fruit, a meal we will never forget. Onwards once more and we eventually headed back towards Marrakesh, we so enjoyed our day we were quite sad to leave, thank you to Morocco Inspiring Tours for arranging our day, we will return!

This was a highlight of or trip to Morocco. We were contacted the day before with a meeting point and time close to or Riad.

The next morning at 8:10am we were picked up in a nice 9 seater VW transporter by our guide and driver for the day Ishmail, his energy and enthusiasm was immediately apparent. As we made our way to pick up another group Ishmail engaged us all in conversation to help us get to know him and eachother.

We started earlier than some other tours but this meant we had the early part of the tour to ourselves.

As we made our way out of Marrakech through some beautiful scenery we stopped for breakfast at the argon oil cooperative. The breakfast and green tea was wonderful, you are given a sales pitch but everybody in our group bought something, we didn't feel overly pressured.

Next stop was at the waterfalls where we were handed over to a guide called Abdul, here he helped us up some of the steep rocks and made sure we were all capable. The hike itself was 1km up and 1km back. Around 1 hour in total. We were one of the first groups up so had the place to ourselves but you could see it getting busy as we came down.

Next we made our way through the second and third of the valleys. Ishmail stopped at some stunning viewpoints to let us take in the views and he took all of our pictures.

In the third valley, the one most affected by the recent earthquake we stopped for a meal with a Berber family. The views and meal were incredible. This was a highlight of the entire day.

The group were tired on the drive back, but Ishmail kept giving us facts about Morocco, the Atlas mountains and pretty much anything you could mention. He is an incredible character really made the day enjoyable for us.

We would 100% recommend this tour to anybody to do if they are spending a few days in Morocco.
