We can thoroughly recommend as tour. Allow four hours, and start with an empty stomach. You’re not only enjoy food but drinks and historical commentary about Athens. What a wonderful host Anna is. Undoubtedly this will be a highlight.

Giannis was our tour guide on our afternoon trip on 02/10/23 and he was brilliant! Very good English and very knowledgeable about the traditional Greek cuisine and culture. He even was so helpful when my wife (5months pregnant) couldn’t stomach the smell of walking through the fish market. He had us wait out front while he guided the rest of the group to the next destination and then doubled back to get us and reunite us with the rest of the group without having to walk through there. He was our good shepherd! Can’t say enough about how great of a job Giannis did and how much fun we had.

We started our Greece trip with Anna's foot on foot tour and it was amazing! It was a perfect way to learn about the best foods in Greece and take that knowledge on the rest of our trip. I happily and confidently ordered the custard bougatsa every chance I could after that. It was also a great introduction to Athens, learning our way around the city and a little bit about the history. We loved picking out spots to return to on our day in Athens before returning home. Anna was a great guide and we had a great group of people to explore with.

Fantastic afternoon seeing new suburbs of Athens and eating delicious food with our host John ( Janis ) He was an absolute pleasure to be shown the area , very informative and knowledgeable and a very pleasant young man. Highly recommend this tour

This was such an enjoyable activity and I would absolutely recommend you do this early in your visit to Athens.
The food we tasted was well thought and planned out, the tour guide was just wonderful and had such a great energy and the places we were well chosen and wonderfully authentic.
We tasted treats from the bakery, cheeses, had authentic coffee, meze and walked through food markets and food stalls.
Our tour guide, Kostas was amazing, he was so knowledgeable about the food, customs and history of the food and even the buildings and locations near by. It was honestly so enjoyable and great to learn about Athens/Greece. Kostas is also so caring about the group and made sure the pace was ok and made sure every time we stopped that we were in shade. He made sure to speak to everyone in the group and seemed to enjoy learning about the varied cultures that were part of the group.
Overall it was just a great day and really added something to our holiday.
Tips for future participants. Take some water and a fan with you. We went on the 9:30 tour and it does get hot, you’ll get plenty time in the shade but either way it’s still hot. Some cash might useful if you want to buy extras. Comfy trainers (maybe not sandals) as we walked through a fish market.
