Dimitris was great!!! Knowledgeable of the history of Athens and loved all the stories about the Greek Gods. The day we went, the President of Turkey came, therefore, roads were closed and Dimitris made it work so that we did not miss a beat and get caught in traffic. He mentioned the day would only go well based on his luck and we were sure LUCKY that day.

We went with my 5 year old and she did well, but she was quite tired at the end of the day. It is a long day of walking and activities. Depending on how eager the family is, it could potentially be too long of a day for some. We ended up not seeing the change of the guards because my daughter was done at the end of the day.

Either way, Dimitris was able to adjust the tour to meet the needs of the family!!

If you’re looking for souvenir shopping, Plaka was such a cute historical town with many options!!

Highly recommend this tour!!!

The sites were great to visit and the driver kept us informed all the way. He understood our likes at start of tour and accordingly took us to the right places at right time.

Our tour guide "Socrates" was excellent. Plus, in our private vehicle, he placed us precisely at entrance points for museums, sites, restaurants like a private chauffeur. We left the itinerary up to him, in broad terms, so we could take advantage of his knowledge of the wait times and popularity of the many points of interest in Athens. We got back to the cruise ship on time and had a thoroughly delightful day out.

This was the best decision I made for our Athens trip. First, I want to recommend that you request for a tour guide as soon as you book this tour. I did not and almost was not able to have one. Luckily, Alex from Elegant Greek Tours was able to find us Vaso. And she was just wonderful. She helped us navigate everything from where to go and how to obtain tickets. I feel like the process would have been stressful to do on our own. She explained everything so well. Mike, our driver was also great and got us where we needed to be. The private minivan was worth it especially since we were 6 people. We went mid- September and it was still very hot, so it was good to be able to cool off in between sites. I don't think we would have been able to manage a walking tour in the heat. 100% Recommend

We had a wonderful time, but I wish I would have understood the fine print a little better. Totally my own fault. There was an option to add the guide to accompany you to the sites and give you the history. I just assumed that meant that we can decide that when we got there and just pay it right there and then. That is not the case. The tour guide is separate from the driver. If we wanted that option we had to do it in advance and they would send a guide with the driver. Our driver was wonderful and had a tremendous amount of information, but he was not allowed to accompany us to the actual ruins. He gave us as much info as he could before we went in but then we were on our own. Although I wish we had the guide, we were happy with our driver and would definitly recomend this tour, just be sure you know what you want in advance.

Outstanding service. Our driver, Demetris did an excellent job driving us around and was on the spot with pick up when we were done in an area. We availed ourselves of a guide through the company as well. Highly recommend Vasso for your trip. She was extremely informative and knowledgeable and made our day!

The entire day was great! Our driver was very knowledgeable and made sure we had the best tour possible. The advice about purchasing tickets in advance was perfect and directions were very clear to follow. I would recommend this tour to anyone on a first trip to Athens.
