Our guide was Anna and she was amazing. Giving the history of food evolution and mixing of cuisines across different timelines. Come empty stomach and enjoy the wholesome food on this tour

This was such a fun experience, tasting different foods in 5 locations, starting at a market and progressing on to a full sit down dinner. Our hostess Christina was such a delight, explaining each tasting along with the history of that food and locations. Such as charming young lady who gave us pointers on many other foods along with some cultural highlights, such as an 11th Century church along the walk. It was all easily walkable and the services were all prompt with no waiting at all.

Eleni our guide was really nice. She was very knowledgeable about the city. The food offerings on the tour were good and a nice variety. We did the tour on the day of arrival. I am happy we did it then. It give us a good intro to the city.

Christina was very nice and showed us around with samples of different Greek cuisine. It was an appropriate amount of small portions to last throughout the tour without feeling overfilled. She was also very kind to send us suggestions as to what to do/visit/eat in Athens for our remaining stay in Athens.

Omg it was outstanding! Our guide Christina was so professional, fun and knowledgeable about her roots in Athens. She even gave recommendations of what more to do while in Athens. I would recommend her to anyone that comes to Athens, Greece. She was magical.

I have had great success finding really great tours through Viator and this great Athens evening food tour was no exception. The instructions on where to meet were really specific and put me at ease. Our guide, Eleni, was so wonderful and personable. It felt more like spending the evening with a friend than taking a tour. Eleni was passionate about food and Athens. She was terrific with questions and really paid great attention to everyone’s needs.
My group was a family of five plus me, a solo traveler. What a great group of people. We bonded early and really enjoyed each other’s company throughout the evening. We made five (I think) stops in our evening and sampled traditional Pork Gyros, Spinach and Cheese Pie, Peyniril (greek pizza), a full sit down meal with a dozen or more options (I chose the stuffed tomatoes), and ended up our evening enjoying Loukoumades (Greek donuts with honey and cinnamon). It was a lot of food. I’ve been on food tours before in other cities and while you get to sample a lot, I often am hungry at the end of the tour. That wasn’t the case with this tour. We had more than enough to eat and the evening was well-paced, informative, and really very fun!
If you take this tour, you’ll be very pleased. And if you are lucky enough to get Eleni as your guide, you’ll come away feeling like you’ve made a friend before the night is done. Eleni set me up to have a terrific trip. I booked this tour on my first night in town and these recommendations were a great introduction to foods I would try and places I would return to throughout my trip. I highly recommend this tour and, especially, Eleni.
