We had a wonderful evening at the Greek Kitchen; Thanassas was an enthusiastic and fun chef/teacher, and we loved making traditional favorites. The trip to the market was really interesting and very close by. I would highly recommend this experience.
I would let guests know that the kitchen is up two steep flights of stairs, which you have to traverse twice, once for the sign in and again for trip to to market visit, so consider that if you have any mobility issues.

Outstanding Cooking Class -we all helped to prepare a 5 course meal, including dessert. I think there were about 12 people in this group. I did not get the name of our cooking guide, but he did a great job. We prepared a Stuffed Eggplant (Imam Baidi), Stuffed Grape Leaves (Dolmades), Spinach Pie (Spanakopita), Fresh Tzatziki Sauce, and Orange Pie (Portokalopita) for dessert. They were all delicious, and the stuffed eggplant was incredible. You can get all the recipes from their website, so no need to take notes.

The Greek Kitchen class was by far one of the highlights of the trip! Visia our instructor was funny and welcoming and made the class fly by. Not to mention the food recipes were EXCELLENT

Such a fun and friendly cooking class! The food was tasty, the kitchen was very clean and Thanassis and Maria were very kind, enthusiastic and made the class run like clockwork. The walk around the market was really interesting and we learned lots about local culture and ingredients. Thanassis and Maria were very accomodating, even moving us onto the afternoon session at the last minute as we had got our days mixed up and missed the morning session we had booked. We hugely appreciated their kindness, and are so happy we got to take part in this class! Thank you!

An amazing experience!! I highly recommend! Chef Thanasis was sooo knowledgeable on the intricacies of composing the unique taste of Greek cuisine! The location is very central and easy to find. The working space is amazing and I am now ready to impress my Greek friends ?

Though a small class of only two, our instructor was upbeat throughout. I do not want to write any more words. My first sentence should have been sufficient. Viator's desperate need for evaluation is the singular negative interaction for the entire experience.

I would absolutely recommend this to anyone. Regardless of your cooking level, Thanos offered the basics all the way up to gourmet level tips. He was welcoming and involved everyone in the process. At the end, he asked for questions on any topic relating to Greece and he was inundated with questions, all about Greek. I would take the class again, there is so much to learn.

I selected this class the first afternoon in Athens. After visiting several sites that morning and a brief nap, the cooking class was a great immersive introduction to Greece, Athens, and the wonderful Greek people.
The others in the class were similar in background, but all were used to being in the kitchen. Lots of side conversations and friendly competition between tables and groups. Fun.
The session starts with a walking tour of farmers markets, one for meats and across the street for produce and other finds.
The meal turned out well, but honestly, it was probably my least favorite meal in our three weeks. Not bad, but the others to come were so much better.
Good instructors who shared history and local experiences as well as cooking advice.
