Tried to buy a ticket for the museum and was told I had to be a combined ticket with one of 2 other things (one being a goddess something) neither of which i understood.

Anyway paid the money, went in and found it was little more that artistic things such as flying cartoon aeroplanes drawn by children on a massive screen.

Similar for the rest of it and on the way out you walk through an led display which has mirrors behind it to make it look like it goes on forever.

In and out in 20 minutes and probably the most disappointing thing i did in Singapore.

The building is very interesting. There are about 3/4 galleries and strange part is that one has to buy separate tickets for all different galleries. Visit this museum only if you are genuinely interested in the exhibits or current shows.

I was expecting more science displays, instead it was interactive games type stuff geared to children. I don’t feel the online description adequately represented this attraction.

Not much content - admission gets you one floor / gallery then have to pay extra for other floors and experiences- as a scientist and art lover I was bored and the kids found it very boring. Didn’t mind the exhibition on development of the science fiction novel over the 20 century. Done and dusted in ten minutes.

The city is beautiful, needless to say... the cost of living in the center is roughly comparable to the cost of living in the center of Milan... to give an example.
In the suburbs, however, much less.
The city can be visited in 3 days, the metro and buses work great.
It is important to have either cash to buy public transport tickets, or alternatively, a much more recommended and super economical thing, to have an ATM for each person and pay automatically by placing the ATM at the bus entrance or at the metro turnstiles. In 3 days doing this I spent maybe €2 in total and I made a lot of trips, I received the transaction in my bank's app and I spent 7-8 cents per trip. Very little indeed. Super convenient.
Don't miss a visit to the Marina Bay on the terrace 200m above the ground, the gardens by the bay, the ArtScience museum to be booked a few days in advance and then all the most characteristic neighborhoods such as: Clarke Quay, Chinatown, little India, Arab street with the various mosques and temples.
The sea in Singapore isn't much, but if you have time to waste, take a trip to Tanjong Beach.

Visited the Singapore 2219 exhibition. It was interesting to see what might become of the city in 200 years. Some of it was quite dark and thought provoking. An exhibition worth a visit

The 2219 Futures Imagined is horrendous. It shows an apocalyptic future where “Pets as Protein” is a book in a typical home and the home is filled with plants and grow lights. The water is spoiled, the sky's are black and plants are dead and everyone is starving. REALLY? This is a future to be shown to five year olds? If they even understand it, it would give them nightmares. I doubt most of the young kids could understand all the ugly dark visions of a dead planet.

The Future World had some fun moments. You color in a fish or a truck and scan the image. The fish-image swims on a wall of other fish and the truck trundles along in an imaginary village. This part was sort of fun. One section had an imaginary village on a screen. As you moved stuffed-animal-houses around, the images moved on the screen. My favorite part was an elephant on an airplane, flying across the village on the screen. A butterfly area was pretty, but brutal. The only way to interact with the butterfly is to touch them on the wall and then they die. REALLY? Kids want to watch butterflies die? Hey tommy come over here and kill a few hundred butterflies.

We gave up and skipped the Disney part. The first two displays were so dark and depressing that we decided to leave.

We were disappointed that much of it was aimed at children. They were so enjoying all the lights and images but for us mid 60's without our grandchildren it was rather wasted. But the final room was the crystal universe which was absolutely amazing and felt you were suspended in space.Beautiful

Some of the Future World displays were closed for maintenance but the parts we did see were really good. We also had a look at the Alice in Wonderland exhibit which was very interesting. Overall it was a good morning out.

Took two of our grandkids and had a marvellous time - the Wonderland exhibition in particular was stunning. The staff were helpful and knowledgeable. Can thoroughly recommend paying a visit when you are next in Singapore - the cafe in the front foyer had the best coffee (and the cakes were good too!!) we had during our 9 days in Singapore!
