This was one of the few 'tours' i booked in Costa Rica which was truly a 'tour', meaning their was a driver AND a tour guide offering history, naturalist commentary and information interesting for visitors to a country. It was a short few hours, but it was very nice and interesting for the money. You only get a distant view of the volcanoe, but the 'tour guide' portion was nice. This is a perfect tour for folks who don't have the energy or inclination for anything but a shortish hike to see the volcano.

Diego Nunes is an incredible tour guy. Very friendly, knowledgeable and and has a great eye for spotting wildlife. 10/10 would book again

Totally uninteresting hike. We climbed a steep path in the lava stones to arrive at a small rocky esplanade, with a distant view of the volcano. The same view that we could have from our hotel (Arenal Observatory Lodge, very good). The guide gave us explanations that appear in all tourist guides. After joining the bus, some of the customers were invited to return to the park entrance through the forest at nightfall. The elderly people were invited to leave by bus and wait for us there!
Bad organization, zero attention to customers, and shameful value for money ($70/person!!!). To flee.

Someone on the company tampered with our review below. Don’t believe what you read in these reviews. A rip off tour $160 each for a 3000 step guided walk. 2 hours at the Baldi Springs, which are ok and inedible food. Someone in the company tampered with my review as we were asked to complete after the walk which I rated as average as had expected a hike. major part was the Springs so I left responses blank. When we complained to the company they used my fraudulent fraud as evidence we were satisfied.

We loved this hike and our guide, Pedro, was fabulous! We arrived early in the morning and there were very few people. Pedro had so much knowledge about Costa Rica, the volcano, plants, animals, it was extremely interesting and fun. We had a great view of the volcano midway and enjoyed the experience very much. Highly recommend!

I couldn’t believe that I was actually walking around an active volcano, so special. Our guide had such broad knowledge of the geological history of Arenal and Costa Rica. He understood and made allowances for the variety of ages in our group and our abilities. I highly recommend this tour.

The tour I got was not what I booked for. Instead of 4-6 hours, it was <2h active time. That was because the original tour had to be canceled because of heavy rain. However, instead of getting reimbursed, I felt forced to go for this second (or rather third?) best option, for the same price. That's anything but fair.

Great Tour company! Very clean and modern busses, pick up and drop off from and to hotel (or anywhere you want them to).
All guides and drivers well spoken in English, always introduced themselves , good local knowledge of chosen activity, Alberto very funny!
A good fun company and I like that they have one driver and one guide.

Hike was moderate, but absolutely worth it. The view of the volcano was BEAUTIFUL!!! Our guides name was Luis and he was PHENOMENAL! He was funny, informative, and took breaks on the hike whenever we needed. He was taking pictures of our whole group and was so patient. Our driver, Clever, was also amazing- felt very safe the entire trip. After the volcano, he had a jug for us to refill our waterbottles and we headed through a hike of Silencio de Midora. It was very easy, but alot of mosquitos! Saw several birds and monkeys as well as the beautiful rainforest canopy. After, they had fresh pineapple and banana cut for us. Great experience! Started at 8AM and was back at our hotel by 12PM to relax at the hotel!
