This is one of the most beautiful environmental projects in Costa Rica, Arenal Hanging Bridges is a combination of trails and hanging bridges situated near Volcano Arenal. This nature preserve shelters a great variety of flora and fauna including many native and migratory birds. These 3.1 kilometers of trails include views of Arenal Volcano, crossing of 14 bridges (6 are hanging bridges), and an opportunity to appreciate the great diversity that is typical of the rain-forest.

We really enjoyed the Mistico hanging bridges park and saw amazing wildlife, views, and learned a lot about the area. I would definitely recommend the park as something family friendly and fun to do in the Arenal area. Our guide Mario was great and very knowledgeable.
However, the tour was a miss because we had 23 in our group when only 12 was advertised in our booking. Although Mario was great, it was too many people to manage for one guide. Water and snacks was also listed in the tour description which was not provided, so we didn’t pack water. We passed other groups along the path that were much smaller and more intimate which is what we paid for and expected but did not receive. These little things did impact the experience.
I would recommend the park, it’s a must see, and recommend our guide, just not the tour company for mis-managing our booking.

Saw plenty of amazing wildlife. We had a private guide, Roy, who was very good at spotting creatures. He was also very knowledgeable about the wildlife there so we learnt a lot. We were lucky that it wasn't too busy but I believe it can get very crowded at times so pick your entry time carefully.

Lush beauty like being in Jurassic Park! The views from the hanging bridges are stunning and the bridge experience in itself was fun. Excellent guide who pointed out vipers, a tarantula, birds, and a hummingbird as well as various flora. Despite the pouring rain, we had a great two hours in the park!

Kenia was a fantastic guide. She showed us a very large variety of animals including monkeys and birds and we even saw a toucan, if from very far away. Timely in pickup and nice in dropoff. The bridges themselves felt very secure, with steel support, even if they swayed a little.

Excellent tour. Highly recommend to do with a guide, otherwise you will probably miss spotting any wildlife. Our guide did expert tour pointing out viper snakes and the extremely elusive anteater. Did not know they are tree climbers. Learned so many things about the “circle of life” that is the Costa Rican rainforest. Very educational and the guide’s pride in Costa Rica was evident.

If you want to go to the most touristy place in Costa Rica, this is your place.
It is an amusement park full of people and with 3 bridges that are worth it, the rest are not funny.
It is not worth going with Guia because it is a closed, paved circuit. You can see many more animals on any other tour in a national park
It cost us $31 per person, a rip-off.

Our day at Mistico hanging bridges with Seven Tours was just brilliant. Our tour guide Roy made our day and was so informative and was happy to answer any questions we had. He gave us loads of information on the trees, birds and animals we were seeing and made such a special effort to ensure we had a great time. We saw some beautiful toucans, monkeys and frogs and even a snake and Roy was able to tell us all about them. Thank you so much Roy, pura vida!
