Designed with an outstanding combination for you to explore the best of the wonders surrounding the volcano. This tour is for those who love hiking and walking through the canopy of the forest.

The first activity consist of a nature guided hike through trails in combination with suspension bridges where will be able to experience what the rainforest is from above and see plenty of wildlife. Following by the hike to the breathtaking waterfall where you can refresh and swim, later the perfect lunch at a local family ranch awaits to gain energy for the last part... the hike around the volcano!

1. Arenal Volcano
This is a unique opportunity where you can hike around an active volcano! Don't worry, it's not throwing lava anymore but it certainly left the lava trails where you will be walking around and be as close from this colossus and everything it represents such as the rainforest, home of animals, culture, amazing views and fascinating history!
2. Arenal Hanging Bridges
At the hanging bridges you will be hiking while combining the fascinating hanging bridges with ground hikes among the rainforest. A series of hanging bridges are connected at this nice park so you can walk on them and be able to observe what the real rainforest looks like from the heights... Even though you will be hanging up in the treetops you will be able to see much wildlife action and birds and learn of a different way of life from the heights.
3. Lake Arenal
You will pass through the dam that shows the open way of the gorgeous and giant Arenal Lake!
4. La Fortuna Waterfall
To get to the magnificent waters of the waterfall a 20 minute hike down 500 stairs will be required, don't panic! Is not as bad as it sounds... you will be with your guide overlooking at the beauty of the canyon that opens in front of you and you will go slow, at your own pace, trust me, it is worth it! Once you reach the ground, take some time to feel yourself immerse in nature and all it represents to you, is the perfect way to relax, just let go and think of anything else but the moments you are having. Jump in to the water, explore, swim and have a great time before getting back up on the same trail... but again, slowly! At the waterfall you have 2 options: 1. Do the hike as described 2. Stay up at the main facilities, there is a restaurant to have a drink, bathrooms and changing rooms and a nice observatory so you can look down to the waterfall and wait for the group to get back up and take you to taste a fine lunch!
5. Rain Forest Explorers
After a nice hike and swim at the waterfall La Familia Rodriguez will be waiting for you with the perfect lunch to recover the energy! They will serve a really tasteful traditional lunch, cooked with local farm and organic ingredients and giving it the love touch for what will be the best meal you will have while in Costa Rica! Share sometime at the family ranch and share lunch with them, is a good way to make new friends and learn about our culture. After a homemade cup of coffee and relaxing by the sounds of the water running from the river is time to continue our day adventure and heads towards the volcano.

It was a wonderful experience with a very great guide, Fabricio. I particularly liked the hanging bridges and we saw all kinds of wildlife and learned a lot about the ecosystem. The waterfall was beautiful and the hike of the volcano was also stunning and we learned a lot about the volcanoes and saw some beautiful birds. The lunch was delicious prepared by a local family who were very gracious. What made the experience special was our knowledgeable and personable guide, Fabricio.

Best experience in Costa Rica. Febreezio & Hymiene were both wonderful. We saw many animals at the Hanging Bridges- saw both types of sloths, not to mention the photos our tour guide was able to take were phenomenal. Febreezio was both Informative and humorous. Definitely recommend.

Isaac did a wonderful job guiding us on this tour with interesting stories and facts about the area and Costa Rica in general. The added touch of the family lunch only for tour guests was the cherry on top! While we didn’t see the volcano because it was raining during the dry season… the group made up for feeling disappointed about that!

The day of our tour was very rainy but our excellent guide Tony made the day completely spectacular regardless of the weather. On all hikes he shared interesting facts about the beautiful surroundings, the history of the areas and points about the animals he and the driver went out of their way spotting for us to enjoy! The lunch stop was AMAZING! Excellent authentic Costa Rican food and the friendliest hosts in their ranch home by the river. This trip is well worth the price and we’d give it 10 stars if we could! Pura Vida!

We had a brilliant time on this tour. It exceeded our expectations! The rainforest was incredible and we were so impressed with how knowledgeable our tour guide Isaac was. We learnt so much. Also the lunch we got taken to was really delicious!

Great day! The guide and driver were very professional and knowledgeable! Easy pick up/drop off. Everything seemed to run seamlessly. It was extremely hot and they had plenty of cold water for everyone. The only think I would change is the order they did things. The Volcano walk was mostly out in the sun and it was last when it was the hottest out. Hanging bridges was first and all
Shade in the early morning. Over would recommend.

Our guide, Favricio, and His driver, Minor, picked our group up at the agreed upon time and place. Favricio’s English was impeccable and we felt comfortable and safe. He immediately began looking for exciting things to show us. He soon spotted a Sloth up in a tree and got excellent photos using his scope. We enjoyed the drive in a van for 8 while we learned about Costa Rican culture, flora and fauna, animals and the Spanish language. Favricio is a certified guide and it shows in his level of patience, his sense of humor and his knowledge about the area. He constantly strove to find exciting things to show his group. He was also very honest about any challenges group members might encounter, such as stairs, trail conditions, and swimming conditions at the waterfall. We enjoyed 7 hanging bridges, Arenal Waterfall, and an Arenal volcano hike. Minor fixed a delicious snack mid morning of pineapple and watermelon. Then we had a wonderful lunch early in the afternoon at a private restaurant. The food was authentic and delicious and the service superb. We highly recommend this tour and would use this company again without reservation.
