Cruise Canyon Lake for 90-minutes aboard Dolly Steamboat. This narrated cruise explores a slot canyon. Keep your eyes open for long horn sheep and eagles. Venture east of the Valley, deep into the Sonora Desert, along the Apache Trail. The Southwest and northern Mexico are the only places on earth where this lush desert exists. Visit Tortilla Flat, a former stage coach stop, which boasts a population of 6 people! There will be some browsing time here. Take a short walk into the desert where your guide will point out the desert plants.

We had a wonderful day with our wonderful guide, Frank, and two pairs of wonderful fellow travelers. Frank is the perfect guide. He organized our day perfectly, minimizing waiting times to an absolute minimum, securing the best spots for us on the boat and in the restaurant, and showing us an interesting little museum at Apache Junction amidst such a packed schedule. We were lucky to have only six people in our group. In my opinion, ten people, the capacity of the van, would have been too crowded.

We loved the Arizona desert history, flora and fauna, leisurely boat trip on the lake and a great lunch. Our guide was fun and took excellent care of us.

The whole day was great. Frank our tour guide was exceptional. He was a world of knowledge and really wanted to make sure we all had a great day. Even helped us to take better pictures. When we come back I would definitely want to do another your with Frank as our guide.

Our guide frank was so knowledgeable and friendly and event took us to some stops that weren't on the itinerary. We had a great time and saw so much beautiful scenery and even the old universal movie set! Absolutely recommend the lake tour.

Eric was a great tour guide and driver. Very enjoyable experience through Apache Trail, Superstition Mountains, a visit to ghost town and then on to Steamboat ride. Also enjoyable music and lunch at Tortilla Flats.

Eric was a good guide and wish I could have given him a better gratuity. Disappointed the trip didn't include stopping at Lost Dutchman state park. The ticket information noted admission to the park was included in the tour costs.

Our tour was great because of the locations we visited and our guide, Frank, who is a pro! Besides providing interesting information about the places we visited, he educated us about native plants and animals, and the Phoenix climate. We really enjoyed our day!

We were met at our hotel by Don right on time at 7:40am. We were greeted with a smile and a cheery hello. From the time we got on the van until we got off at the end of the tour, Don kept us both entertained and informed. We learned a lot about Arizona and our surroundings as we traveled.
The highlight of our trip was the Dolly Steamboat trip. We weren’t sure what to expect and were very pleasantly surprised. The views of the canyon from the water were spectacular. This was the highlight of our trip.
We followed up the steamboat ride with a stop at Tortilla Flats for lunch. This also turned out to be an unexpected treat. When we arrived, it was packed, but the wait turned out to be brief. The food was very good as was the service.
All in all, we had a wonderful time and I am very comfortable in recommending this tour.
