The National Museum of Anthropology is a national museum of Mexico. It’s the largest and most visited museum in Mexico.
This is the most important building in Latin America, with rooms that contain the pre-hispanic evidence of the Mexicas, Mayas, Toltecas and more cultures from the country through time.
The Anthropology Museum is the most emblematic place safeguarding the Mexican indigenous legacy. It stands as a symbol of identity, and as a mentor of generations that want to know about their cultural roots.
Wonder at its innovative design, the art, and the symbolism that has given the building a well-known personality around the world.
Here, you will see a great collection of pre-hispanic objects that were found in different parts of the country, which were made by the various cultures that developed in the vast territory that is now Mexico.

I booked last minute (the night before) amd was fortunately able to be accommodated. Hector was an amazing guide. He provided so much information and was able to answer all our questions. Highly recommend this tour. I learned so much more info than I anticipated.

Mario did a great job! But I think a better English would have been better to help understand the culture and history. Nonetheless so cool and efficient.

It is a huge museum so we were grateful we booked a tour.
Having booked the English tour, our guide spoke very broken English with a thick accent making it extremely hard to understand what he was saying.

Andres was a charming guide with so much information. He was undaunted by crowds. He remained excited and knowledgeable about the exhibits. Meeting point was easy and process was smooth. Museum opened late but that wasn’t his doing. We would love to go on a tour specifically for children!

Excellent tour with good context provided to make the displays meaningful. Less than 15% of the written descriptions in the museum have English translations so a tour makes a lot of sense. Emmanuel led us through highlights that focused on the Olmec, Mayans and Aztec. Regardless of your familiarity with Meso-America, you would absolutely learn something.
