Antelope Canyon X, located southeast of Lower Antelope canyon by the gateway town of Page, Arizona, is named after the Xs carved into the Navajo Sandstone created by millions of years of rainfall and wind. This part of the canyon is chiseled out by millions of years’ worth of flood erosion and impactful winds on its sandstone, enough to sculpt out the iconic "X" shape that aptly named the canyon.
Canyon X is a relatively new scenic tour and the lesser-known cousin of Upper/Lower Antelope Canyon, which results in fewer visitors by comparison to the other two.
Canyon X is a mixture of the characteristics of both the Upper and Lower canyon, with the Upper’s feature of pillars of light and the Lower’s steepness. Canyon X is also deeper than the other two and brings ample photo opportunities. It truly is a great vacation spot for photography as well.

This is a must-see if you are planning a trip to America. But you should definitely go around midday because the way the sun shines is important.

The views were phenomenal. Our guide may have been new because he did not narrate as we were passing through sections of the slot canyon. He would answer questions. We overheard other guides narrating to their groups. So I think we missed out on some history. The guide did take great pics! Overall, I would recommend. Note, you are taking the tour with a larger group of people but are subdivided based on the van you ride in. You are taking turns with the other groups on going into the canyon and then turning around to come back in most cases.

The canyon is beautiful. You can reach out and touch the rocks and take gorgeous pictures. I would definitely recommend going there if you are in Arizona.

All in all the tour was okay. Didn’t start off well. According to Viator, they were supposed to include a bottle of water and the touring company said they didn’t do that. The tour guide seemed like he was bored and didn’t like his job. But the views were stunning. But I’m guessing the upper and lower antelope tours are better.

This is a short canyon experience but packed beautiful scenic photography opportunities. Our guide Bambi was very pleasant and informative. She took the hassle from getting the perfect shots of the canyons. Steep walk to the canyon but even steeper walk back. So be prepared.

Tour is too short. $ too pricey and our tour guild has no passion to tell us everything.
I would like to see more and learn more about this Antelope Canyon. The hike can be more interesting.

Walking in the canyons, seeing the ancient sand dunes, cut by water over millennia was amazing! Our guide Van T was a wizard at taking pictures and shoes us many great tips!
