Located southeast of Lower Antelope canyon by the gateway town of Page, AZ. This part of the canyon is chiseled out by millions of years’ worth of flood erosion and impactful winds on its sandstone, enough to sculpt out the iconic "X" shape that aptly named the canyon. Canyon X is a relatively new scenic tour and the lesser-known cousin of Upper/Lower Antelope Canyon, which results in fewer visitors by comparison to the other two.
Canyon X is a nice mixture of the characteristics of both Upper and Lower canyon, with the Upper’s feature of pillars of light and the Lower’s steepness. Canyon X is also deeper than the other two by comparison, and with it brings ample photo opportunities. It truly is a great vacation spot for photography as well.

As a first timer to AZ, this tour came up as a Grand Canyon tour. It was my fault to not look at the address but it was a far way North of the GC. They warn you to pay attention to the time change but give you no more than that. Our cell phones and our car did not change. We arrived in the middle of nowhere 2 hours in advance. We thought we were 1 hour ahead. There was only 2 of us and they would not add us to an earlier group. The woman was nasty and did not work with us. We asked for a refund and she said no.

Easy to find and it was a great experience. Our guide Matt was fantastic and funny, and taught us a lot about the canyons. He even took some fabulous pictures of us!Overall, very well organized tour. Would recommend for anyone looking for a less populated tour of the slot canyons.

It was perfect. We are active mid-seventy-year-olds. The stairs instead of ladders, the slower pace, the assistance in setting cameras for best photos, the lovely ( female) guide who actually took our photos, the option for an ORV to take us back up the hill at the end… all of this made it an unforgettable experience. And of course, the beauty and the Native history is amazing. We loved X Canyon.

We had a wonderful time with this very professional tour operation. The colors of the canyon were gorgeous, even in the morning when we went. For the best colors our guide recommends the afternoon sun. Excellent information, safe and comfortable vans for transportation to and from the canyon, and an incredible experience on sacred Navajo land.

It’s a geological experience you have to see to believe. The tour group was well run and the guide was wonderfully informative. The cultural exchange impressed our teens.

Rather than just touting the amazing, natural beauty, I feel it’s important to note that the people who handle the logistics, drive the vans in and out of the canyon, and the guides exhibited such pride in their land and wanted every visitor to enjoy it. That really enhanced my experience and I believe everyone who takes a tour with this company would agree.
