A once in a lifetime chance to visit three countries in just one day! Grab your passport and join us on this unforgettable day. Leaving Barcelona we head for a tiny medieval village close to the border before crossing into France to visit a beautiful French spa town where you will enjoy lunch. In the afternoon, you'll head into Andorra over a high mountain pass, perfect for dramatic pictures. You will also stop in a picturesque valley on our way to the capital, famous for tax free bargains, before heading back into Spain in the afternoon. Breakfast in Spain, lunch in France, and an afternoon snack in Andorra - a day you'll never forget.

WHAT'S INCLUDED

WHAT TO EXPECT

1. Palace of Catalan Music
7.00am - Your day starts when you arrive in our office, which is right across from the famous Palau de la Musica. Your guide will there to greet you and tell you all about the day ahead.
2. Baga
8.30am - Where else but in Europe can you visit three countries in one day? Three different countries, three distinctly different atmospheres, stunning drives, and breathtaking scenery. Depart from Barcelona at 7am, and relax during the scenic journey to Bagà. You will have the chance to marvel at the majestic rocky peaks in the Cadi-Moixeró National Park as we drive to Bagà. In Bagà, as this sleepy village comes to life, you can get a fresh pastry or sandwich in the local bakery, or a coffee in one of the many typical cafes, before rejoining your guide who will give you a short walking tour of the village before leaving you free time to explore alone. From Bagà, we will head deeper into the countryside as we drive towards the French border.
3. Thermes d'Ax
11.00am - Your next stop is the charming and beautiful ancient spa town of Ax-Les-Thermes. Your guide will recommend some of the best natural fountains to visit, and those best suitable for soaking your feet in. You will then have free time to enjoy the healing waters, browse the local artisan shops where you can buy local cheeses and cured meats, as well as looking out for a souvenir to remember your visit. After a while of wandering around this typical French village, its time to choose from one of the many local restaurant for a tradition French lunch. After a memorable French experience, you will meet back at the bus to head towards Andorra.
4. Pas de la Casa
1.30pm - The route takes you through the beautiful Pyrenees Alps to Andorra. One the way we will cross the Pas de la Casa, an amazing high mountain pass with some stunning photo opportunities.
5. Valle de Incles
2.30pm - As we descend into Andorra, we will stop at a typical mountain valley where you will get a glimpse of how Andorra used to be. From here, we will head down the valleys into Andorra La Vella.
6. Andorra la Vella
3.30pm - Andorra la Vella is the capital of the small but stunning country of Andorra, located high in the east Pyrenees, between France and Spain. This will be our last stop of the day, but you will have enough time to do a little bit of duty free shopping, grab a quick bargain or walk around its old stone streets and houses. At about 3:45pm, we will return to the bus and head back to Barcelona via a different route. This drive takes you through dramatic gorges, past verdant farming land, and alongside lakes and rivers, before the landscape levels out and the lush tones of green of the fields and the shinning grey of the mountain rocks are replaced by the dusty orange and brown hues of this arid landscape. You will stop enroute for a chance to stretch your legs and quench your thirst, before arriving back in town at about 7:30pm
7. Ponts
4.30-6.30pm - This drive takes you through dramatic gorges, past verdant farming land, and alongside lakes and rivers, before the landscape levels out and the lush tones of green of the fields and the shinning grey of the mountain rocks are replaced by the dusty orange and brown hues of this arid landscape. You will stop enroute for a chance to stretch your legs and quench your thirst, before arriving back in town at about 7:30pm
8. Montserrat
6.45pm - The final leg of the journey takes you past the dramatic scenery of Montserrat. This iconic mountain stands out dramatically against the skyline as we begin out last part of the drive into Barcelona.
9. Plaza de Catalunya
7.30 - 745pm - We end the day in Plaça Catalunya. From here, you can easily take the metro or a taxi back to your hotel. Otherwise, your guide will be more than happy to make some recommendations of where to have dinner.

Panoramic views along the way. Our tour guide Enrique was very knowledgeable, lots of interesting information along the drive, he walked us around at each stop to point out places to eat, shop and take pictures. My only suggestion would be not to go on a Monday as alot of shops and restaurants were closed.
Also, be prepared to find your way back to your hotel. The bus drops off at a different location and there is no Wifi in the city.

We loved the entire experience! The stops in Catalonia and France were so charming, the tour bus was very comfortable, the driver (Rafa) and our guide (Hyman) were outstanding! P.S. Hyman, thanks for the great Barcelona restaurant recommendation

We had the bestest time! LOVED getting to see each spot and learn about the area.

The town of Baga was awesome! Loved how chill it was! Our A-MAZ-ING tour guide (Judit) even had some special bread from the local bakery for us to try. It was de-lish!

France - oooh - la - la! It was VERY cool. We enjoyed exploring and checking out the local market that was going on since it was Saturday and then we stopped to enjoy some delicious wine and French Onion Soup (but they only call it onion soup there).

Andora - it had snowed the week prior up in the mountains so we happily got to enjoy the snow peaked mountains (which made for some VERY beautiful pics) and then we had fun walking around in the capital of Andora where there was no snow and lots of shopping.

I do wish we had more time at each stop but I understand with the amount of area you are covering - you only have so many hours in the day.

You may be in the vehicle a lot but man, it was worth it to see other areas!

It may be a long trip with the driving time, but well worth it for the experiences at different locations, views, and education. Like to take panoramic photos? You will have time and views to share. Like to shop, Andorra will give you a challenge for your suitcase once you learn that it is a separate little nation. Our excellent guide made the time fly, and you will have a taste of three countries in one day.

It was a wonderful trip and Marc has been an excellent guide. It is a full day tour so expect about 8 hours of traveling from one area to another.
