Smallest group tours to Van Gogh Museum and an art historian as your guide.
In this tour we will dive deep into the life, art and inspiration of Vincent. You will learn why Van Gogh started taking up the brush at 27. Discover the importance of his beloved brother Theo in his life.
You will get a better understanding about the different artistic periods, for example his ‘dark period’ in Brabant, his experimental period in Paris, and his turbulent time with Gauguin in the yellow house in Arles.
Van Gogh was tormented by his mental difficulties, learn how this shows, next to his genius and his temper, in his masterpieces such as ‘The Potato Eaters’, ‘The Sun Flowers’, ‘The Yellow House’ and ‘The Almond Blossom’.

This tour is a MUST when visiting Amsterdam! Florentina (Flo) was so knowledgeable and engaging at all levels throughout the museum. It was as though she knew the artist personally. Loved that she had my son involved and thinking about art in a fun way. She was great, the museum beautiful and Van Gogh story was amazing.

An enlightening experience from a passionate well educated tour guide. Celine was professional, fun, and very knowledgeable of the entire museum. The approach of Vincent's life, his experience and family relationship told through his art was a treat to participate in. I've gained a love for his work and a resurrect for his life through this tour. Thank you! This is a MUST while in Amsterdam!

Our guide for Van gogh small group tour was AWESOME. She gave us great attention, we learned a TON, and she handled have another couple coming late like a pro. She answered all of our questions and more. I loved the fact that she was an art history major. So worth it and we got a lot more out of the museum rather than just walking around. Mila was the best!

I had to book the semi-private tour because regular tickets were sold out for the week I was visiting Amsterdam (I know, poor planning on my part). However, I’m glad I booked this tour. Genevieve was such an amazing tour guide, very knowledgeable, and she encouraged participation from the group rather than just giving a lecture. I also enjoyed having a focused tour to see the highlights and then having time after on our own to see the works that we initially missed. Overall, a great experience!

This experience was so informative and captivating! I am so glad Fannie was there to guide us through the museum, but mostly through the glimpse of Vang Gogh life as an artist. You get a sense of what Van Gogh was feeling and thinking while painting each piece! I won't ever forget this experience!
