Start this tour in front of the Amsterdam Voyager Hotel. From here you will walk to the famous Amsterdam Red Light District. First part of the tour leads through the old town area and Amsterdam's Chinatown. Here you get a insight of the history of Amsterdam and the area.
Then walk to the center of the Red Light District where the guide will tell you everything about the prostitution, coffeeshop culture and history of the Amsterdam Red Light District. Your guide will tell you how it is working as a prostitute in the Red Light District, the liberal laws and tell you many interesting facts.
Your guide will also tell you about the coffeeshop culture of Amsterdam. Learn where the name “coffeeshop” comes from and some of the weird laws we have on the consumption and production of soft-drugs.

I suppose I was expecting a rather short tour but this was a great walking tour full of history as well as the “main event” of the red light district. Our tour guide was knowledgable and friendly! I would recommend this tour!

Seeing the old masonic building and the historic overview. Was nice to learn so much about the origins of the prostitution industry in Amsterdam and to appreciate the plight of women seeking means to survive.

Our tour Pedro was very nice and knowledgeable, but we felt a little rushed. We did the tour on a Saturday night so the area was very busy which was out of his control. It was informative, but as stated before seemed rush. Overall, it was okay, but could have been better.

Aaron was a great tour guide. He knows the history of the area peppering his stories with light funny anecdotes. Highly recommend doing the tour rather than walking the district by yourself.

This tour I highly recommend. My husband and I went and realized it’s not just about the red light district. It’s about Amsterdam history along with information about how the red light district operates along with families who have businesses there. Very enjoyable.

David is a great, knowledgeable guide and comfortable in the area. He knew people in the Red Light District and they knew him. He showed us a place where they have live sex shows (you have to pay a couple of Euros to see it). We also stopped for beer. The 8 PM tour would have seen more of the workers in the windows. We only saw a few. It was still early for them.

The tour was interesting although while going through the red light district we walked very fast and saw everything a bit rushed. Pedro knew a lot about history and we learned a lot about the buildings like the one Rembrandt painted the grueling scene. Also, about the crying tower where all the wives would say bye to their sailor husbands.
