1. Homomonument
In about one hour, we cruise through the unique Unesco Heritage listed Golden Age canals of Amsterdam. We cruise into the Jordaan, a neighbourhood known for its famous Prinsengracht towards the most romantic Magere Brug (English: Skinny Bridge – we will work on your Dutch pronunciation later), the Amstel river, the 7 bridges, the impressive Golden Bend, and then past the nine streets back to the Anne Frank House.
2. Anne Frank House
Annelies Marie Frank was a Jewish girl from Germany who became known for the diary she wrote during the Second World War when she was in hiding in Amsterdam. She died of exhaustion and / or typhus fever in the Bergen-Belsen concentration camp
3. The Jordaan
The most common theory on the origin of the name is as a derivation of the French word Jardin, meaning garden: most streets and canals in the Jordaan are named after trees and flowers. Another theory is that the Prinsengracht canal was once nicknamed Jordaan (the Dutch name for the river Jordan) and that the neighborhood beyond the canal came to be called this as well. Our Flagship canal tour will start and end here in the Jordaan.

6. Amsterdam Tulip Museum
The Amsterdam Tulip Museum, also known as the Tulip Museum, is located at Prinsengracht 116, opposite the Anne Frank House. The museum shows the history of the tulip below, from its discovery in Central Asia to the present time.
7. Bloemgracht
The canal, as part of the Jordaan, was constructed in the first half of the 17th century during one of Amsterdam's major urban expansions; the so-called Third Explanation. Initially, dyers were located on and near the Bloemgracht.

9. Westerkerk
The Westerkerk (English: Western Church) is a Reformed church within the Dutch Protestant church in central Amsterdam, Netherlands. It lies in the most western part of the Grachtengordel neighborhood (Centrum borough), next to the Jordaan, between the Prinsengracht and Keizersgracht.
10. Statue of Anne Frank
Anne Frank is one of Amsterdam’s best-known historical figures. Anne and her family lived in hiding from the Nazis for more than two years in a house on the Prinsengracht. Anne was eventually deported to the Bergen-Belsen concentration camp in 1945, where she later died at the young age of 15. Today, Anne’s spirit lives on through her diary and the huge numbers of visitors who come to Amsterdam every year to learn more about her short life.
11. Houseboat Museum
Our boats will cruise along with the houseboat museum at the Prinsengracht.

This luxurious, modern hotel on the Prinsengracht is two kilometers from the Anne Frank House and the Van Gogh Museum. Dam Square is one kilometer away.
13. Leiden Square (Leidseplein)
The Leidseplein is a square in central Amsterdam, Netherlands. Lying in the Weteringschans neighborhood (Centrum borough), the Leidseplein is immediately northeast of the Singelgracht canal. It is situated on the crossroads of the Weteringschans, the Marnixstraat, and the Leidsestraat. The Leidseplein is one of the busiest centers for nightlife in the city. Historically, the square was the end of the road from Leiden and served as a parking lot for horse-drawn traffic. Today, modern traffic travels through the square and side streets are packed with restaurants and nightclubs. The Stadsschouwburg, a theater, is the most notable architectural landmark on the square, and the American Hotel is close by. Our boats will pass the Leidseplein on the Prinsengracht.
14. Rijksmuseum
The Rijksmuseum was founded in The Hague in 1800 and moved to Amsterdam in 1808, where it was first located in the Royal Palace and later in the Trippenhuis. The current main building was designed by Pierre Cuypers and first opened in 1885.On 13 April 2013, after a ten-year renovation which cost € 375 million, the main building was reopened by Queen Beatrix. In 2013 and 2014, it was the most visited museum in the Netherlands with record numbers of 2.2 million and 2.47 million visitors. It is also the largest art museum in the country. Our boats will sail along the Prinsengracht with a view on the Rijksmuseum The museum has on display 8,000 objects of art and history, from their total collection of 1 million objects from the years 1200–2000, among which are some masterpieces by Rembrandt, Frans Hals, and Johannes Vermeer. The museum also has a small Asian collection, which is on display in the Asian pavilion.
15. Amstelveld
Amstelveld is a square in the center of Amsterdam, between Reguliersgracht, Prinsengracht, and Kerkstraat, close to Utrechtsestraat. The Amstelkerk, a predominantly wooden building, stands on the square. The characteristic plantation consists of 46 Caucasian wingnut trees
16. Spiegelkwartier
The imposing Rijksmuseum can be seen from the Spiegelgracht. This canal connects the Prinsengracht with the Lijnbaansgracht and runs into the Nieuwe Spiegelstraat. The Spiegelgracht is part of the Spiegelkwartier which is characterized by its many galleries and antique shops. As an art lover, you can walk from the Museumplein along the Spiegelgracht where you can continue to enjoy the most special paintings, antiques, and art (objects).
17. De Duif
The present church owes its name to a predecessor, the 17th-century hiding church 'Het Vrededuifje' that once stood on the Kerkstraat. The first stone for the current Duifkerk, designed by Leiden architect Th. Molkenboer was laid in April 1857. Due to a lack of money, the church became increasingly decayed in the course of the 20th century. For more than twenty-five years the building has been packed because the monumental façade had become detached. This danger has since disappeared. De Duif reopened in 2002 after an intensive restoration. During that restoration, the original murals were reappeared under layers of wall paint.
18. The Amstel
The Amstel is the biggest canal of all, and Amsterdam was founded from this canal which was originally a river. Fisherman builds a "dam" and called is Amsterdam.
19. Koninklijk Theater Carre
The Royal Theatre Carré (Dutch: Koninklijk Theater Carré) is a Neo-Renaissance theatre in Amsterdam, located near the river Amstel. When the theatre was founded in 1887, it was originally meant as a permanent circus building. Currently, it is mainly used for musicals, cabaret performances, and pop concerts.

Hermitage Amsterdam is a branch museum of the Hermitage Museum of Saint Petersburg, Russia, located on the banks of the Amstel river in Amsterdam. The museum is located in the former Amstelhof, a classical style building from 1681.

22. Blauwbrug
The Blauwbrug (English: Blue bridge) is a historic bridge in Amsterdam, the Netherlands over the river Amstel. It connects the Rembrandtplein area with the Waterlooplein area and lies south to the Stopera.

The three main canals (Herengracht, Prinsengracht, and Keizersgracht), dug in the 17th century during the Dutch Golden Age, form concentric belts around the city, known as the Grachtengordel. Alongside the main canals are 1550 monumental buildings. The 17th-century canal ring area, including the Prinsengracht, Keizersgracht, Herengracht, and Jordaan, were listed as UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2010, contributing to Amsterdam's fame as the "Venice of the North"
24. Singel
The Singel is a canal in Amsterdam which encircled the city in the Middle Ages. It served as a moat around the city until 1585, when Amsterdam expanded beyond the Singel. The canal runs from the IJ bay, near the Central Station, to the Muntplein square, where it meets the Amstel river. It is now the inner-most canal in Amsterdam's semicircular ring of canals.
25. Magere Brug
One of Amsterdam’s many bridges is the beautiful Magere Brug, known to English speakers at the Skinny Bridge. This wooden drawbridge was once so narrow that it was hard for two pedestrians to pass each other. To cope with increasing traffic on the Amstel, a wider bridge replaced the narrow original in 1871.

Dutch National Opera (DNO; formerly De Nederlandse Opera, now De Nationale Opera in Dutch) is a Dutch opera company based in Amsterdam, Netherlands. Its present home base is the Dutch National Opera & Ballet housed in the Stopera building, a modern building designed by Cees Dam and Wilhelm Holzbauer which opened in 1986.
28. South Church (Zuiderkerk)
The Zuiderkerk is the first church designed for Protestant worship in Amsterdam. The church was built near the Sint Antoniesbreestraat in the Last, a neighborhood that was added to the city at the end of the 16th century. Today this is the Nieuwmarkt neighborhood. The church is located at Zandstraat no. 17.
29. De Kleine Komedie
The Kleine Komedie is a theater in Amsterdam located on the Amstel and was built in 1786. It is the oldest theater in Amsterdam and can accommodate 503 spectators. The theater that focuses on small art has since the 1980s become 'the cabaret temple of the Netherlands.

The Rembrandtplein is a square in the center of Amsterdam, between Reguliersbreestraat and Amstelstraat. The square borders on the Thorbeckeplein. The Reguliersdwarsstraat, Korte Reguliersdwarsstraat, Halvemaansteeg, Bakkersstraat, and Utrechtsestraat also lead to the square.
31. Munt Tower (Munttoren)
The Munttoren (mint tower) was once part of the Regulierspoort which consisted of a gate with a tower on each side. It was built between 1480 and 1487 as part of the medieval city wall. Back in the 17th century, the tower was used to mint coins.
32. Bloemenmarkt

It was really wonderful. Tour guide was knowledgable and the sunset cruise was very enjoyable.

We did have a very hard time finding the boat launch, so plan ahead for that. We were in the right area but there weren't any signs or anything so we were just walking in circles looking for them. They wear bright orange shirts - look out for that and ask around. There were a few different boat launches with the same company and so, it got a bit confusing.
We were actually 15 minutes early, but due to not knowing exactly where to meet, we missed our launch but a minute or two. Luckily, they had room on the next tour ~20 minutes later.

Any way, once we were on the boat - 5*s it was great and I would gladly take friends and go again.

Thoroughly enjoyed our tour with this company! The tour guides were knowledgable and told us about the history and tales of Amsterdam. They also added in lots of humour, making the experience even better! Plenty of cheese and wine to keep us going. Just wish it had lasted longer!!

Was notified that my cruise was canceled. Looked like it was overbooked. The operator changed times numerous times. Very irresponsible. Was told I would receive a refund. Still no refund!

A really good 1 hour trip. I had 3 Heineken beers and my wife 3 or 4 rose wines (to be fair could’ve had more if we wanted). The skipper and his host and hostesses were brilliant too. We learnt a lot about Amsterdam and also had some good craic!

This tour was just MEH. It was advertised as this charming cheese and wine tasting cruise of the canals but in reality it was a booze cruise where tourists stood around waiting for the boat only to be packed in like sardines handed a cheese board and offered a soft drink, beer, or wine in a plastic cup. The tour guides were perfectly pleasant but it wasn't worth the money. I'd recommend a more intimate canal cruise.

The boat was nice but you couldn't really see anything from the tour attractions out of the window. Our tour guide was talking non stop (I know they want to give us a lot of information) but it was too much. I was expecting a more relaxing boat tour with wine and cheese, to enjoy the flow and the views.

Surprisingly fun and informative tour of the Amsterdam canals. Great guides we loved their warm personalities and interesting anecdotes. Beautiful cruise along the canals felt like just the right length of time (slightly over 1 hour). Very organized boarding process. Wine and cheese a nice touch as well.
