Drive your own Dune Buggy through the sugar cane fields, up to the mountains and down to the beach. With all the instruction and equipment included, even beginners can learn how to drive a dune buggy.
After being collected from the outside of Amber Cove Port, you will be taken to the tour starting point which is just 35 minutes away.
Enjoy amazing scenery, muddy paths and a picturesque beach.
Please remember to wear clothes that you don't care about, sunglasses/goggles and bandana for mud and dust.

Amazing Experience!!!!! The communication from the booking office was on point! They checked in with us multiple times. The day of the excursion they also texted to make sure we knew where we were going and who to ask for. Driver was very nice car was clean, Great driver. At the excursion the staff was wonderful. They had goggles and face bandannas for rent super affordable and I definitely recommend. The guide was careful but Fun best part of our trip. Must get Red Snapper for lunch a beach break it was delicious. Can’t say enough great things about them. GREAT VALUE! 100% recommend this company and Excursion ????

Be prepared to end up covered in mud. We stopped at a beach where we ate the best fresh fish. The photography team worked 100%. The girl who welcomed us made us feel like we were at home. The traffic in DR is crazy, but our driver made us feel safe at all times. Our cruise arrive late due to a rescue and the communication with this team was excellent.

It was fun and muddy? David was a great guide. The ride out there took you through the town on the way out, which was pretty cool.

Wow! What am amazing experience! The people who hosted us, the sights we saw, driving the dune buggy through the mud, the sand and the village streets, it was all so much fun. Thank you for the fun time.

We booked and the owner was very responsive. We arrived and they were on time. The only issue was that we did not realize there was a time difference and had they not reminded us we might have missed it. We were. Few minutes late and they graciously waited. They had a large ssortment of safety equipment and the vehicles were clean considering they were used daily in the mud. We had a blast from beginning to end. There were a few small problems and the staff handled them expediently. We would absolutely do this again..

Poor quality over all. Done many many of these buggy/quad/razor/jeep off road kind of adventure excursions… this one was sub par. The tour was half asphalt highway, cow trails thru poop water, then dirt road under construction with trucks and dozers, then a small portion of jungle trails for fun in the mud. Beach was fine, not much there but had shade and water. Equipment was heavily used and need of maintenance - they had to rig my seatbelt with a caribeaner clip because it had no latch, started/stopped engine with loose electrical wires and front strut was crazy wobbly. I seriously questioned safety of vehicle. Not one I will ever recommend .

Disappointed the company we purchased the excursion through never showed up. And another company had to pick us up. When we got there other people were purchasing the same package for less money

The only portions of this excursion that were great are the employees and the concept. I cannot recommend the people that were assisting us highly enough, as they were fantastic, very personable, fun, happy, and anything positive that you can dream to say. We started the excursion being picked up 6-8 min late, not a big deal(we thought). We were a little worried when being picked up as all the other excursions were outside the port well before departure, and ours was nowhere to be found. While I understand that the area this excursion was in isn't the wealthiest of areas, I wasn't expecting so much filth. I have sent cars to the junk yard that were in the better condition than the buggies in this excursion. In a group of 4 buggies, which includes the guide's buggy, we went through 7 buggies in order to finish the 2 hours. We started and within 45 ft we had to swap to a different one due to not having a functional throttle. Then, we had to swap to a different buggie half way due to a flat tire. The guide's buggie died due to the water level being too high. After swapping to our now third buggie in an hour, this one was running so hot and lean that it was backfiring and coughing. While this buggy ran the best out of the three, the rear tires did more steering than the front, and we had no control of steering in the rear of course, like any 4 wheel vehicle. At the half way mark we were met with the expected beach hagglers. They just grabbed my wife's hair and just kept repeating "no pay if you no like," which I responded no thank you we have to pull it out right away when we get back. I had to repeat this about 3 times before they left my wife alone, as the normal haggler wants the sale. I found this to be a little bit more pushy than normal. The entire area was littered, as there is no form of grounds management by the country. The issues that all of these vehicles have include hot wired ignitions, bad tie-rods, bad wheelbearings, bald tires, no form of alignment, and they were SOOOO pigeon-toed that someone with double lazy eyes had more of an alignment. I could go on, but I believe at this point you can understand the state of disrepair the buggies were in. When booking this excursion, we knew we would have to drive through water, but did not expect as much as we did (It would have been better if there wasn't so much garbage and probable feces). What was fun for me was the depth of water as it had come up to our neck in the buggies (An unexpected joy, minus the garbage of course). We later found out that the guides took us the wrong way and had not checked the trail beforehand. When it came to the end of the excursion we had been told previously that we would return back to Port at 12:30 p.m. (plenty of time as we were expected to board our cruise no later then 3:30 p.m.), however we were an hour and change later than what was informed(1: 30p.m.-1:45p.m.). While we did return back to Port before our sail away time I found it worrisome. Overall, I would not recommend for anyone who is sensible and cares about their health!!!!!

Great overall experience. It was nice to be able to see a little bit of the Dominican outside of the port. The guides and photographer were splendid.

Frank was amazing. Catered to our every need.The mudding was great, the dust was awesome, the water crossings were a blast. The beach was clean, and relaxing. Would do it again in a minute.
