Amazing 8 Days Cairo,Luxor,Aswan,Abu Simbel,Nile Cruise&Air Balloon from Cairo

The tour was jam packed full of sightseeing with lots of add-ons if you want to see even more. Our main guide was Hany and he was so passionate and took care of everything for us! I hope if you get this tour that you are lucky enough to get him! But all of the guides that we got were also amazing. I went for my birthday and they made it extra special, they got me a cake and we had a little party on the felucca night! There was also another fellow tour goer who had a birthday and they made it extra special for her too! They went above and beyond any of my expectations. The a/c bus was a nice charter bus that was nice to travel on during the day but rather hard to sleep on. Other than that i couldnt have chosen a better tour. So much fun and it really showed me everything i wanted to see! I highly recommend this tour, and you get alot for a great price

Very interesting tour, since you travel very comfortably in the cruise while having fantastic views of the river Nile and stopping to visit the temples. I would definitely recommend taking this tour if you want to enjoy both the history and the views and culture of Egypt. Our guide hany was great. It makes the going from temple to temple very easy and worthless ! The stay at the ship is wonderful, since the deck is super nice and the rooms are great ! The food and the service are very good as well. Overall we spend some awesome days that would be happy to recommend to my friends.

The tour was absolutely fantastic, thanks to Covid-19 we were extremely lucky to experience the splendour of ancient Egypt practically alone by ourselves with not a single line the whole trip. Ahmed was a really great, friendly and very knowledgeable guide who gave us fantastic insights of each historical site and also took us to some great restaurants on our trip. Egypt on the whole is a very friendly country and everyone was really happy to see the return of tourists after a 6/8 month lapse due to the pandemic. I was especially surprised by the Nile Cruise and meals which all exceeded my expectations. While there are some early morning starts to get to the sights in good time, I never felt too tired as we had ample time to sleep on the coach ride over and while I was somewhat dreading the 12 hour train from Cairo to Aswan, it happened late at night so I managed to get a good sleep and caught up on some reading - the time flew by! I couldn't recommend this tour enough, thanks for a fun, educational and relaxing holiday with Mody Tours, it was exactly what I needed and something I'm never going to forget. 10/10

Overall it was a nice journey. We had transfers and tour guides almost everywhere which helped to not think about where to go or how to go there and just enjoy the experience. If I had to change anything about my trip then I'd book that tour to include only the Luxor-Aswan trip and explored Cairo myself. Booking the tour or just, in general, going to Egypt be ready to spend x2 due to tipping and service.

Pros:
- The tour covers most of the must-see sights in Egypt,
- Includes hot air balloon which was cool and my first-time experience,
- Includes a couple of nights on a nice cruise ship,
- If you're lucky enough then you get the awesome egyptologists-tour guides who can answer any of your questions and go beyond the usual program and will share a lot of cool stuff,
- The tour guides share some tips about local communication and stuff,
- Almost in every sight we had a private tour (only us two, the tour guide and the driver) which I consider very covid save,
- All tour guides and crew on the ship were vaccinated against covid,

Cons:
- Due to covid the agency had to change our schedule a bit and instead of first and last night of the tour in Cairo we spent 2 nights in a row in Cairo which affected our personal plans;
- Last day of the tour before traveling back to Cairo, we had 5-6 free hours before the train, but we already were checked out from the cruise. For some reason, the tour agency didn't take it into account during planning and we basically would have to wait this time at the train station. So we had to pay an extra $80 for day use of the hotel;
- We had to wake up 3-5 am at the morning almost every day to start our program and had around 3 different places to visit per day which one's may find exhausting;
- Due to so many places we had to visit, we didn't have enough time in each of them and we were always in a rush. In total it's about 1-1.5 hours per temple;
- Sometimes the communication was poor. We had different tour guides for each city/place. In Edfu temple, we had a situation that no one communicated with us prior arrival to there so we just went and wondered there ourselves till the actual tour guide found us and explained that he had to give us a tour (but how could we know?);
- Some of our tour guides couldn't really speak English well or didn't understand the questions;
- In our staying in Cairo and on the ship there was a poor internet connection, we could just send messages with it (you can forget about your TikTok for the time of that trip);
- Train to/from Cairo was torture. From Cairo to Aswan it arrived 3 hours later which messed up our program for a day, from Luxor to Cairo it was late for only 2 hours; The train is sitting, but in the first class we got wide chairs which inclined for the almost horizontal position;

Excellent family trip through Egypt Thanks to Mody Tours for an impeccable organization of all our activities in Egypt. individualized it with the help and advice of the excellent staff at this tour operator. I always received an immediate response to all my concerns and requests and our family trip was perfect, everything went smoothly. We went with our three older children and all five of us thoroughly enjoyed all the excursions in a van for ourselves with driver and tour guide. We extended the trip to 11days and added to the original tour 3 nights in Cairo and 2 in Luxor, in such a way that we visited Abu Simbel, Dendera and Abydos, as well as Memphis, Sakkara and also Alexandria. Hani was not only our tour operator, who helped me organize everything in detail, the train and plane tickets, the hotels and extra nights, and all the excursions and even the balloon ride in Luxor, but he was also our guide. He not only has a solid background as an Egyptologist, but also has an enormous ability to communicate his knowledge with clarity and passion, making his tours of the temples extremely interesting. His knowledge is extensive and very complete. He is an excellent person, he always helped us in everything we needed and it was very nice to spend a whole week with him. Vans and drivers were excellent, too. And the guide we had in Cairo was also very knowledgeable and made our stay unforgettable.

Our Tour Guide was hani, he was very knowledgeable about Egypt and its history. We were able to experience Egypt like a local thanks to him. We were able to try most of the local and street foods which were all very good, the Koshari was my favorite. He always recommended the best options and was always on top of things. If you can try to book a flight to Aswan to avoid a long train ride which was 12 hours. I would recommend this tour and hani if you are planning on traveling to Egypt

This was the most amazing tour. Both of our tour guides were incredibly insightful with the history and knowledge of Ancient Egypt. Highlights of the trip was easily Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut Temple, Luxor Temple, and Aswan Temples. We did every excursion available to us, and it did not disappoint. The hot air balloon ride is a must when you go, there will be no other experience like that. Seeing the colors, monuments, temples, etc. that are still standing within the past 5000 years, it was incredible and awe-struck. We have been to the Mayan Pyramids in Tikal, Guatemala, those did not touch the ones in Giza. The food on the river cruise was awesome, had everything from several types of bread to fruits, fish, poultry, red meat, salads, pastries, and much more. They did an awesome job keeping everyone at least 6 feet apart (or the attempt to). Beyond the Nile was extremely accommodating. We are from the United States and we never felt in danger. Yes, there are hagglers for you to purchase their cheap Chinese products. However, we did not bite. They would leave you alone 99% of the time if you said no. If you go to the Nubian Village, the majority of things there are handmade at a good price. We bought several things there, including authentic spices, sandalwood, etc. There are times on the trip you will be able to buy handmade from locals. We did each excursion listed, Abu Simbel, Hot Air Balloon over the Valley of the Kings, and Felucca Ride to Nubian Village. The latter 2 (Hot Air Balloon and Nubian Village) is an absolute must. The Hot Air Balloon Ride was a one-of-a-kind. It was for the sunrise over the Valley of the Kings, and it was beautiful. Abu Simbel. While extremely cool, possibly the most amazing temples in terms of scenes and monuments, it was really not all that worth it. Not much food between Aswan and Abu Simbel, and it was a very long car ride. Honestly, it was not all that worth it in the end, but everything else is an absolute must. The temple and views itself were very worth it, but the ~3 hour car ride ONE way is not worth it. Ahmed was incredibly helpful, we felt like a pain at times. We did not really know about the sim card ordeal. Please note, you will NOT have free WiFi on board, it is $7 per day, for only ONE device. The hotel in Cairo had WiFi. Ahmed did everything he could and more to get us data as my fiance needed it for university. It was an awesome trip, one review doesn't cover the highlights. Egypt is a must see for any international traveler. It is safer than what people make it out to be. It was not expensive, if you are on the edge, do it. I highly recommend Mody Tours.

Just got back from our Mody tours for last 8 days! It was prolly the greatest experience I’ve had ever! A big thanks to Mostafa for arranging our whole week! Also shout outs to 2 other guides we had Noor from Cairo, and hani in Luxor and Aswan ! Would strongly recommend booking with Mody tours. These people know are incredible to work with and extremely knowledgeable. The history we learned on our visit will never be forgotten! Thanks again Guys and we hope to be back someday.

Mody tours was Amazing for our trip to Egypt. I began planning with them a few months before arriving and they helped with the planning ou f everything. I had an itinerary in mind and they were able to match it up with what I requested. Mostafa was awesome to plan with always being super easy to communicate with and extremely fast responses to any questions. When we arrived in Egypt we were greeted at the airport and taken around town according to the itinerary. The drivers were incredibly nice and friendly. In Luxor we had the tour guide Hanni. He was absolutely amazing and by far our favorite tour guide of the whole trip. He was super brilliant and knowledgeable about Egyptian history and never tired of our questions. He was excellent about making sure we were always taken care of
In Aswan we had sultan who was also knowledgeable and friendly. He constantly checked in with us to make sure everything was running smoothly. In Cairo we had Hassan guide as around. All around nice guy who made sure we got to see everything we wanted. He arranged anything we needed and always had a brilliant smile on his face. He was patient and willing to take pictures for us while showing us the amazing sites of Cairo. I would not hesitate to use Mody tours again in the future

I recommend Mody tours enough. We took a 8 day trip to Egypt and used Mody tours to guide us. Everything was taken care of from airport transfers, hotel and Nile cruise reservations, Egyptologist guides at every ancient attraction. Our guide in Cairo was Noor. She was excellent and so knowledgeable about ancient Egypt. Our cruise aboard the Sara boat was indescribably wonderful. The whole trip went so smoothly and Mody tours took care of our logistics seamlessly. Our guide on the boat hani took care of our every request and guided us through multiple temples with so much information. Security was outstanding at every museum and temple as well as the airports. Our guides genuinely cared about making our experience the best ever! The staff aboard the boat were also incredibly attentive and so friendly. I highly recommend a trip to Egypt for a vacation. I had dreamed of this trip for many years and my dream became reality far and above my expectations!
