1. Porto di Sorrento
This is only a suggested itinerary below with some of the main sights highlighted. As this is a private excursion, you can customize it as you wish.
2. Sorrento Coast
Cruising along the Sorrento coast, you will admire: the ruins of the roman villa near “Bagni della Regina Giovanna”, Punta Campanella and its pristine Marine Reserve, the historic Saracen tower and the picturesque bays of Puolo and Massalubrense.
3. Baia di Ieranto
We’ll continue to the Bay of Ieranto and the Bay of Nerano, set along one of the most striking gulfs on Italy’s coast, dotted with tiny coves and breathtaking cliffs.
4. Li Galli
Our next stop is at the Li Galli Islets, a stunning archipelago of three tiny islands. According to legend, this is where the Sirens would lie in wait for passing sailors, luring them to the rocky coastlines with their songs.
5. Positano
Afterwards, we’ll set our sights on Positano, hub of the international jet set who love its chic shops, picturesque beach, and glamorous cafès and restaurants.
6. Amalfi
And finally Amalfi, the true perl of the coast. A landscape of outstanding beauty has made Amalfi famous throughout the world. The imposing mountains that surround it tumble into the turquoise sea, with a powerful scenic effect. This is the queen of the Amalfi Coast, which bears her name: the stretch of Tyrrhenian coastline recognised by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. Here, in addition to a fabulous sea, you will find treasured historical remains, a charming village, and enchanting nature.
7. Amalfi Coast
During the day you will have many opportunity to swim and snorkel in the most beautiful spots along the Amalfi coast; you can have lunch in one of the many delicious restaurant along the coast, and, if you want, you can get off the boat and visit the villages of Positano and Amalfi at your leisure.
8. Porto di Sorrento
Once back on board, relax en route to the port of Sorrento sipping some Prosecco sparkling wine offered by your skipper.

We took a day trip (6 of us) from Sorrento to Capri Island and toured the coast line of Amalfi coast. It was the highlight of our trip! The boat was brand new, the staff was 5-Star and the voters spectacular, Chiara was our host and Raffaele our skipper. They are the dream team!

Best day ever! We met a bunch of new friends and were free to wander a bit solo but also had the best boat ride and accommodations. Anna and Raffy are fantastic. This experience was definitely one of the best parts of my Italy trip.

The 8 of us could not have had a better time with Anna and Rafi on the Aura boat! Anna and Rafi were so nice, so hospitable and caring for us all. We were so well looked after, from the photography, catering to our requests, snacks, drinks, complimentary limoncello and dessert... they made our day.

This trip takes you from Sorrento to Positano and Amalfi. You get about 75-90 min in each place, then you go back. There's a van that takes you from the Naples central train station to Sorrento and vice versa at the end. The drivers of these vans vary quite a bit in their driving style.

Once on the boat, we had a skipper and a guide. Both were extremely proficient at their work. The boat itself was OK, but if you wanted to breathe air without diesel fumes, you had to sit in the front and there was room only for 4 or 5 of the 14 or so of us on the boat to do that. The rest sat in the back, out of the wind, but had to deal with some diesel.

Food and drinks were provided in generous quantities, including wine and champagne and limoncello at the end.
What we came for was the scenery, and it was magnificent. The two stops wre interesting; Amalfi was charming and beautiful also.
I felt I needed to see the Amalfi Coast because of all the hype about it I heard all my life. Now that I've seen it, I don't know what all the hype is about--the Croatian Adriatic coast, especially around Split and Makarska, is much more dramatic. However, this has nothing to do with this tour. If you're going to see the Amalfi coast, this is definitely the way to do it, rather than puke your guts out in the back of a bus.
