This special access, after-hours walking tour takes you into the Catacombs after closing, introducing you to one of Rome’s most important cities of the dead. Our guide, Federico, was amazing. He was very knowledgeable and had tremendous energy. He was happy to help with everything from restaurant suggestions to securing a taxi. My teenage son expected to see more bones in the catacombs, but was still engaged with the tour.

Wonderful tour guide. Very sweet, funny, personable and knowledgeable. We enjoyed the experience but we’re disappointed that the catacombs were completely empty. You will not see bones and skeletons in this particular catacomb even though it shows this in the advertisement. False advertising if you ask me! Also, the tour guide isn’t allowed to do the tour once you reach the catacombs since it is considered “Vatican Territory.” Once you reach the catacombs, a priest takes over the tour.

Federico is absolutely 5 stars! Excellent personality, knowledge & humour. Although our tour was disrupted due to events beyond his control I still thoroughly enjoyed spending my time on this tour. Highly impressed with the prompt action in rectifying the disruption from the tour.

This was an fun and interesting tour. Our guide, Silvia, was very enthusiastic and engaging. Additionally, the church and catacombs were fascinating even though the catacombs did not hold any bones.

Our guide Hilaria was knowledgeable and was able to answer any questions we had on this tour, which included the Capuchin Crypt and museum, as well as the San Sebastian Catacombs outside of Rome. The latter was very immersive, and we were able to see many old pagan structures that are well preserved. This tour is definitely interesting if you want to learn more about Roman anthropology.
