The most popular tour! Drive your own sled-dog team with 4 time Iditarod winner Dallas Seavey's team of mushers, handlers and champion dogs on real snow in the middle of summer surrounded by amazing scenery. Start this adventure with a helicopter ride over glaciers. We often see moose, black bears, Dall sheep and goats. Land on a glacier and enjoy a whole hour with champion sled dogs and their mushers that live here all summer. Take the dog team for a ride through real snow. You can stand on the runners and mush a dog team or just sit on the sled and let the mushers run the team. After your dogsled tour meet the canine athletes that pulled your sled, and of course take pictures with your favorite dogs. After the tour the helicopter takes you back to the lodge and you’ll fly over the lower glaciers where you can see the blue melt pools and the crevasses.

Total Tour Time: 1.5 hours - includes 1 hour with the dogsled team (aprox 30 min sled ride) and approx 30 min round trip flightseeing

Michael was a great pilot. The views from the helicopter were awesome but sadly the dogsled portion of our trip was cut out due to clouds. Overall, still a great experience.

This was my second time doing the helo/dog sled trip, and I’d do it 50 more times if I could! DO NOT MISS THIS! It is, truly, a once in a lifetime experience.

One of the coolest things we have done! Our pilot was excellent giving us background on the glaciers and the area on the way there. Davin our dog sled guide was excellent and made the experience fun. It's amazing to see how they live on the camp and how the dogs are. Beautiful experience and highly recommend this.

The trip was absolutely amazing! All of the dogs were really friendly and our helicopter driver taught me so much about Alaska that I hadn’t known before. I definitely recommend!

Overall experience was awesome. On the helicopter ride we saw glaciers, mountains and a few bears. The pilot was friendly, knowledgeable and informative. The dog sled ride was also fun. We started a cruise the next day and thought about a dog sled excursion at one of the ports but found out that rather than a sled, the dogs might pull a carriage with wheels. Since we wanted the dog sledding experience we booked this “adventure” because we knew it would be a sledding experience. The musher was also friendly, knowledgeable and informative.

It was a wonderful experience not to be missed. Both the Helicopter and dogsled ride were exhilarating with amazing views of the glacier from above and an exciting ride on the glacier.

Gave it a 1 star because the Director was not polite during the course of the conversation and emails, but to her credit was nicer towards the end of the conversation. Wasn’t sure if I was going to do a review because I hate giving 1 stars, but 1 star service really was how I was treated. I noticed there were a cluster of earthquakes happening in the area. When I asked if they had communication with govt agencies like usgs to see if there was elevated risk, the comment that stood out most was “why did you come to Alaska if you were this worried about earth quakes?” They went on to say I had a better chance of a car accident from an earthquake on the road instead of having something happen in the air. I thought to myself… “yeah, you all are picking me up, in a shuttle to take me to a location an hour from anchorage that has had three magnitude 2.8 to 3.8 earthquakes in the last 12 hours… I decided not to sign the waiver because i didn’t want to trust them with my safety. I didn’t go on the tour and did not get a refund from them but did receive a refund back from elsewhere. Not a fan of how I was treated, but I hope they take my advice and connect more with agencies other than the FAA since they perform pickup and drop off, not just flights in the air. I also hope they train people on talking about safety to customers via the phone if earthquakes clusters are happening. I really do hope no one is ever hurt on any tour, especially if it can be avoided by checking in with other govt agencies as backup.
