You'll be picked up from your centrally located Auckland hotel before traveling 30-minutes west to the Waitakere Ranges.
From here travel further west to enjoy a walk in the rainforest before visiting the beautiful Piha Beach for a walk on the soft black sand.

Fantastic driver (Jason) and guide (female) who although she said she was a newbie, she had fantastic stories and such a funny, bubbly demeanor. We learned a lot about the 2050 plan and tree/bird history. Piha beach is beautiful. Pace was good and kept on time.

It was a great time with Ayla and Michelle. The group was small, and we received lots of information on Auckland, Piha and the rainforest. I loved all parts of the tour.

This was an awesome tour especially going to the black sand beach & seeing the mountain that looks like a lion! We also enjoyed the rain forest & having all of the fauna & trees explained. Murray was a great tour guide & Max was a great driver & assistant!

Full bus of 15. Kevin was our guide and Michelle was our driver. Very personable and informative tour. Started around 12:30 and arrived back about 6. Every stop was crowded as it was a beautiful Saturday. Lots of time is spent driving on winding roads due to detours and road repair work.

Beach is beautiful no doubt, but your felt a bit crammed and not enough time on the beach. I think nature walk was nice, but would be better to prioritize beach so we could see both sides and not rush back

Due to drizzle whole trip got messed up:( couldn’t go to black sand beach:( Also we almost missed the trip because they gave us pick up time more than a month ago, after that no reminder, no communication. We had so many tours booked that we forgot their pick up time. As a policy, all tours must give reminders about pick up time and location two, three days before the tour.
