2. Wat Mahathat
15:30 Hours :- (30 Minute) Wat Mahathat :- built in 13th Centaury It is one of the oldest and most significant temples in the history of Ayutthaya as it housed the Buddha's holy relic
3. Wat Yai Chai Mang Khon
16:15 Hours:- (30 Minute) Wat Yai Chai Mongkhon-Wat Yai Chai Mongkhon, or "Great Monastery of Auspicious Victory". Its distinguishing feature is the high prang (tower) dominating the area. The temple is old and was built in the second half of the 14th century during the reign of King U Thong. Interestingly, it is still active and monks live in it. The current name of the monastery was acquired at the end of the 16th century, when a large chedi was built. In the northeast, you can see a large statue of the Reclining Buddha wrapped in yellow cloth, facing east towards the rising sun. Wat Yai Chai Mongkhon, like many other buildings in the area, was destroyed during the invasion in 1767. Great place and worth visiting.
4. Wat Chaiwatthanaram
16:45 Hours:- Wat Chaiwatthanaram:- It is one of the most iconic and well-preserved temples in Ayutthaya, known for its impressive Khmer-style architecture and scenic riverside location.Everyone goes here for late afternoon and sunset. Many local people dressed in traditional clothing pray in the evening which makes the evening even more interesting. Look out for bats in the inside of the buildings as they leave their resting space at sunset. One of the stupas is currently being restored but it does not interfere with the sunset view. (We will come back and enjoy the glittering temple in the evening time)
5. Historic City of Ayutthaya

Got off to a slow start - apparently someone on the tour went to the wrong location and we had to wait for them. Overall, this is a great transport service that takes you to the most notable and beautiful spots in Ayutthaya. Have your own Wikipedia ready as no one gives you any information about the sights! And eat before you go.

We had an incredible afternoon in Ayutthaya! Our guide, Susan, was amazing. She is passionate about her work and the history of the Thai people. We stopped at two temples (Wat Yai Chai Mongkhon and Wat Mahathat), and then we took a boat ride to a third and last temple, Wat Chaiwatthanaram. Each time, our guide spent 15 minutes providing meaningful explanations and then let us have 35 to 45 minutes alone to wander around and explore by ourselves. We found that the boat cruise is a truly awesome feature of this tour!! We highly recommend it, as the overall tour is well-organized, not too long, and yet full of great discoveries and surprises!

Tum Tum our guide made this trip. Hotel pick up was on time and efficient. The driver Mr Mango drove very calmly and got us to all the temples in a timely manner. Tum Tum handled all the ticket entries, gave us a brief history of each of the ancient temples also pointing out good photo spots before we were let loose. Lunch and morning snack included.
But the temples stole the show, simply stunning nothing else to say.
Pick up was at 6:30am and back in central Bangkok by 3pm. Good value for money.

Very nice excursion…. The sites were wonderful and we had plenty of time to visit each of the four sites…..The lunch at the end of the trip was excellent too.

While the ruins were pretty cool the company didn't do anything but get us from one location to the next. Our guide provided no context, only the most minimal history or story, then sent us off to wander the ruins on our own. We had nothing to place the things we were looking at.

We had a great time learning about the history of the temples. The operator was great and helped us when we were stuck in traffic. He helped us make it to the first stop after we were an hour late for the tour. We were able to see everything. Thank you for a great experience.
