We did the wine tour today, so good I felt compelled to write a review. What a great day. 4 wineries, plenty of tastings, some fantastic pairing with chocolate and cheese. Donovan was our guide and was absolutely fantastic. The scenery was amazing, lovely lunch, friendly staff at the wineries and there were a few special guests to feed along the way! Five stars ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

All the wineries were beautiful and interesting, but I particularly liked the young woman at Muratie who had a lot of interesting stories about the winery’s extremely long history. Our guide was great and very knowledgeable himself.

This is our second time with African Story Wine Tour and, once again, it did not disappoint.
Our tour guide, Donovan, was very knowledgeable and also great fun. We also enjoyed listening to local artists en route.
Although we have done this tour before, everything felt fresh and enjoyable.
Thank you, Donavan for a great tour. We will definitely book again next time we're in Cape Town!

This was one of the best wine tours I’ve ever done! Donovan’s wine knowledge was exceptional and he built a tour to fit my tastes. The 3 wineries we visited were all amazing and the staff at all three were warm, welcoming, and a pleasure to chat with and learn from.

With so many wineries available in the Cape Winelands, a guided tour is the only way to go in my opinion (if you have limited time). I lucked out with a private tour without directly booking private, but I will only book private now.

Highly recommended. The choice of wineries was perfect - a real cross-section from small family to large scale, and across three sub-regions. And all excellent. Very good lunch. And Theunis was a knowledgeable and entertaining host. Good value.

The tour was a joy from beginning to end. Each of the wineries had delicious wines, and they were a good range of different styles and vibes. Will was a superb guide, and it made for a full and fantastic day.

A friendly driver picked us up at our hotel. At each winery you were given a bit of history, except for the last one. Finally, we visited the most beautiful location with cheeses, they had a goat farm, highly recommended (Fairview).
I found the Muratie and Eikehof domains less interesting.

Our party of 6 were met inside our Hotel by the tour guide (Will) which was very professional, then invited to a spotlessly clean minibus. A smooth drive with occasional commentary which gave us time to appreciate the landscapes. 2 wine farms in the morning, the best being Muratie where wines were paired with chocolate and we had a superb restaurant lunch, included in the tour price. 2 further farms after lunch, the first being Eikehof where the owner joined us to chat about the estate. The last farm was Fairview which was more commercialised than the others, but still enjoyable. Safely driven back to our hotel by late afternoon. A highly recommended tour which felt personal whilst being exceptionally good value. This wasn't our first Wine tour but has been the best to date. Thank you.
