Filled my need for a quiet relaxing day. The beautiful colors of the fishing village cove were 20 feet from my chair in the shade of the palm trees. As we ordered our beers, various villagers stopped by to make some sales. I bought a silver turtle ring and opal bracelet. We ordered chicken quesadillas for lunch-delicious. After getting my toes in the delightfully clear aqua water I thoroughly enjoyed a massage on the beach, crossing that off my bucket list. So when you want to get away from the Costa Maya port crowds, get a cab for the 10 minute trip to Mahahual beach. You’ll be glad you did!
