This is a truly personal experience of the Daintree Rainforest, Daintree River, Mossman Gorge and the local aboriginal tribes showcasing their culture.

Our first tour is with the local indigenous tribe, you will be introduced to the traditional fishing activity of spear throwing and handling. Practice your aim and shoot before embarking on a stroll (spear in hand) along the beach, through the mangroves and mudflats observing cultural medicine and food plants, whilst spotting the array of sealife beneath the water. Enjoy a Homemade Damper on the Beach at the end of the tour.

Lunch is at the famous bakery cafes 'Temptations',

Next, we jump aboard ‘Solar Whisper’ the only zero emission boat in the Daintree Rainforest.
We glide quietly up to crocodiles and other wildlife without scaring them or hurting their habitat, the boat is fitted with the unique “Croc Cam” to help show well camouflaged crocodiles and wildlife, this beautiful experience practices true Eco Tourism.

We had a wonderful experience with Sacred Owl Tours! Rasa was friendly, knowledgeable, and a great guide overall. We loved spearing mud crabs, gathering periwinkles, and seeing crocodiles! The aboriginal digeridoo was a special treat. Thanks Rasa!

The best day!! Rasa is a warm, knowledgeable and open person who obviously loves what she does. She joined us on the morning tour of the Daintree Rainforest tour - adding additional bits of information for us to the guide. She had her eye out for our safety and what we might enjoy. At the swimming area, Rasa had special food for us to throw to the fish. The lunch was preordered and delicious (even made accommodations for a gluten free eater!). But the true highlight was Aboriginal Fishing and Beach Day. After practicing with the tool to spear mud crabs, we walked out on a great expanse of beach. The guides and Rasa shared lots of insights to find crabs and showed lots of shells, etc. The glorious walk ended with several crabs and periwinkles cooked for sharing. I never felt rushed or that my millions of questions were silly. I wanted to gain more insights into Aboriginal peoples - their history and traditions. The whole day did that. I definitely recommend this tour.
