What an extraordinarily well put together museum. The number of artifacts and images displayed made this experience real and incredibly impactful. In particular, I found the recordings of passengers messages to loved ones on home answer machines very moving and tragic.

I think this museum is a must for everyone visiting the city. The whole tragedy is a part of NYC history and a thing to never forget! I burst up in tears several times during the visit. I might be a bit emotional, but it is such a terrible thing that happened to innocent people and I felt so sorry for all of them. It wasn’t the happiest day of our trip, but it was totally worth it. The memorial is an utterly beautiful way to remember the victims.

Such a moving experience. Being in college when 9/11 happened, it was surreal to go back to that time in this experience.

The boat lift video brought me to tears. Realizing that we walked around the traces of both buildings listening to people’s experiences was very thought provoking.
