I thought about going to Jiufen and Shifen on my own, but I'm glad I chose this tour instead! Overall it was a great experience and the tour guide Alan was professional and friendly. We showed up 10 mins early at the meeting place and he was already waiting for us. He sent me and other tour participants a what's app message a day earlier so I was certain I could get in touch with him in any case.
He drove a nice mini-van and took us to 3 destinations. He showed us around, took tons of pictures (he is a great photographer!), gave us enough time at all three desitnations. I think we spent the right amount of time everywhere and the whole trip was super efficient. We also got dropped off at Raohe Night Market around 8:15-8:30, which wasn't too late to explore it. I'm also quite happy with all the photos Alan took and forwarded promptly to us.
If you're looking to go to Jiufen in the evening, I highly recommend this tour!

First I had messaged questions about the meeting point a few days before the tour. No one ever got back to me until the night (5:45pm) before the tour saying that the tour is cancelled because not enough participants signed up. In the same message, they asked me if I wanted to join the same tour but different meeting point. I replied saying yes and some questions - no reply. On the morning of the tour, I messaged them again on TripAdvisor and on Line App asking them to confirm I was added to the tour - still no communication from them. I got fed up and ended up taking a bus to Jiufen myself. Don’t waste your time with this company as they will leave you hanging. I would book with a different company so this doesn’t happen to you.

Really enjoyable tour with nice sights to see. I was expecting more information, but the tour leader was more of a driver than a guide.

Our tour guide was great .. provided guidance in several languages .. very patient, knowledgeable, friendly and had a little treat waiting for us after one of our stops ( water melon) . He talked about the history of each stop on our 7 hour trip . Would recommend this tour and guide to any travelers to Taiwan

This tour was a lovely way to see a little more of Taiwan besides Taipei. Our guide Joseph was an excellent communicator who made everything clear, easy, and comfortable. We learned about history, culture, and had a very nice time! I especially enjoyed the information about local foods to try and the drop-off point at the end of the tour being Raohe night market which turned out to be my favorite in Taipei. I highly recommend this tour and Joseph as a guide.

You're really just catching a ride in the van. No guiding at all. Driver drops you off, tells you what time to come back to meet up again. We felt like we missed out on any cultural or historical insights the sites may have offered.

No tour guy showed up at the meeting location!
We did not receive any communication on the meeting location change!
Thanks to a local who called the tour company for us. We ended up joining another tour which is similar but no exactly the same

Our guide Joseph made sure to clearly communicate meeting points and time using google map points in whats app and group sending pictures to us there. He also taught us a lot about each place we visited while giving us time to relax between stops. I enjoyed his tour very much!
