In this tour, with the help of electric bicycles, we’ll visit the 7 Lisbon Hills and 14 Viewpoints.

In this tour we’ll visit some of the most famous Lisbon Viewpoints, such as Graça, Santa Luzia, Srª do Monte but we’ll visit many others, less famous.

If seeing Lisbon from above is a wonderful thing, getting inside historic districts, such as Alfama, Mouraria, Graça, with a very popular local guide, is an unforgettable experience.

Within these neighborhoods, we’ll make several stops to get to know the places, learn about small stories and visit traditional shops.

We’ll also take a break for tasting the traditional Portuguese ginjinha.

During our route we’ll observe the traditional Lisbon houses, large and small, painted with different colors, or decorated with great drawings made on tiles will also be present throughout this bike tour.

We’ll also pass by many of the most important monuments in the city.

WHAT TO EXPECT

1. Miradouro Sao Pedro de Alcantara
In this viewpoint, one of the most famous in Lisbon, you'll see the entire historic Lisbon Center, as well as the entire eastern part.
2. Largo do Carmo
In this small but very nice square, a historic site in the Revolution of 74, you'll have the possibility to Carmo Convent ruins (Sec. XIC) and the top of the Santa Justa elevator.
3. Viuva Lamego
One of Lisbon marks are the works made in tiles, with great designs, which were used in the decoration of many buildings. Here we'll see the wonderful building where the most famous tile factory in Portugal was installed. 4. Miradouro da Senhora do Monte
This is the most beautiful of all Lisbon's viewpoints. In one of the highest points of Lisbon you'll be able to see almost the whole city as if you were on a plane. It's an impressive sight, in a wonderful location, which was very important for the city about 900 years ago. When you get here we'll tell you the story of this important place.
5. Miradouro da Graca (Sophia de Mello Breyner Andresen)
You just arrived in one of the most traditional neighborhoods in Lisbon - Graça. Here you have another viewpoint and another fantastic view. You'll be able to see the whole city from another angle and, from very close, the São Jorge Castle. Here, you'll be able to visit, free of charge, the beautiful Church and part of the Graça convent.
6. Mercado de Santa Clara
We arrive at the Santa Clara market, which is in the center of an important area. Here, every Tuesday and Saturday, there is the oldest street market in Lisbon - the Flea Market. Right next to it are two important monuments, the São Vicente de Fora Monastery (it was the most important in the city) and the National Pantheon, which we'll observe from the outside.
7. Alfama
Now it's time to visit the oldest and most traditional neighborhood in Lisbon - Alfama. We'll cycle through very narrow and small streets, which make a real labirint. Here we'll make short stops to learn about the history of this place, to talk with some local people and to toast with a "ginjinha". We'll visit the lower part of this neighborhood, but also several amazing viewpoints - Santo Estevão, Santa Luzia, Cerca Moura and Portas do Sol. In this area we'll cross also Lisbon Cathedral and Santo António Church.
8. Castelo de S. Jorge
After Alfama, it was time to visit the Castelo de São Jorge neighborhood. Here, also through very narrow streets, we will see some of the oldest houses in Lisbon and the castle gate.
9. Castelo, Alfama & Mouraria
Bordering the Castle and Alfama, the neighborhood of Mouraria is also one of the oldest in Lisbon. Also made up of very narrow streets, this neighborhood also has some curious surprises. One of them, very funny, is the hundreds of pictures, hanging on the streets, with the image of the people who live here.
10. Baixa, Rossio & Restauradores
Here we are in the City Center of Lisbon, the large squares, theaters, shops and some monuments are in this area. We are going to visit the São Domingos Church, and among other locals. We'll pass in Praça do Rossio, at the base of the Santa Justa elevator, under the Rua Augusta Arch of and enjoy the wonderful Comércio Square, which is located next to the Tagus River.

This was a great tour, 4 1/2 hours long lead by Hugo. There were many stops with breathtakin views of the city, cathedrals, churches and others. Each stop was well narrated by Hugo. One really can cover the city on a bike in the 4 - 4 1/2 hour time of this tour. The e-bikes are great, climbing the hills was effortless. One needs to be a confident cyclist, as you are going up and down steep cobble stoned streets, mixing with cars, tuk tuks, pedestrestians [as one would in medievel / modern large city.] Lisbon is beatiful, full of awesome historical neighborhoods that demand real time. This tour allows you to see all of them - you will know which neighborhoods deserve a return trip on foot after this tour.

What a fabulous bike ride and tour. On our first full day in Lisbon, we met our guide, Hugo, and it turned out we were the only two people signed up for the tour. After being fitted with bikes and helmets (optional but highly recommended) we set off to explore the city. We spent a beautiful half day climbing the hills of Lisbon and taking in some fabulous views of the city. The fact that it was a beautiful day made the experience even better. This was a great way to start our vacation, as it gave us a great overview of the city. It may not be the best tour for inexperience riders, but if you love e-biking, I would highly recommend this tour.

Highly recommend this tour! Lisbon is very hilly and streets are confusing. We were able to see so much more than if we did a walking tour. Hugo was a great guide and knowledgeable about the history. He gave us time to explore the areas we visited as well as gave us recommendations for dinners and drinks.

Miguel’s hospitality , his humor and telling about Lisbon was excellent. Even a extra round because we had time and a beer afterwards 👊
…. And because Miguel advice to do also the Sintra tour , we enjoyed our days in Lisbon we didn’t expect before
The Sintra tour with Maya was one in a lifetime. All the way to Penedo….. to a lovely place for lunch with “green wine” 😉

The e-bikes are so easy and fun to ride. It makes the 4 hour tour around the city completely effortlessly.

Hugo was great and very knowledgeable he led us round narrow, conjested narrow streets we would never have discovered on our own and shared the story of Lisbon’s interesting past
We were able to step inside several Churches demonstrating the tremendous influence of the Catholic Church.

I am so glad we did an electric bike tour because Lisbon has hills and you need to climb them to get the best out of this magical city. We had such a lovely time. Our guide was a local and really fun and knowledgable too. The bikes were well kept and easy to get the hang of, despite this being the first time either of us had been on an ebike.
