The sky is the limit, except in New York, where getting to the sky is easy. Rooftop bars are one of Manhattan's biggest attractions. It starts at 6.45 pm and goes to 2 rooftop lounges. Impossible not to get excited by sliding the view beyond the skyscrapers, sipping a drink, letting the dream of New York take hold of you. The Urban Explorer will take you around, jumping from one rooftop to another and offering you 1 welcome drink of our choice in each venue but feel free to buy it more!
BEFORE BOOKING:
Must wear casual elegant attire. No sneakers, gym shoes, flip flop, short pants, hats and backpacks accepted.You must bring an identity document (passport preferable) to prove that you are 21 years old. In fact, in the United States, anyone under the age of 21 cannot drink alcohol. The tour ends at the last rooftop in the Midtown area.

Very disorganised. Waited 40 minutes at the Plaza Hotel meeting point, in the pouring rain waiting for late comers. When we finally got on the bus Tony the guide explained it was 2 bars that we were going to and that the rain wouldn't effect the rooftops. When we got to the first bar the rooftop was closed. Our guide did nothing to help and then disappeared and was no where to be found. When we weren't allowed upstairs, we went downstairs so we could smoke, but they said we couldn't unless we wanted to pay to come back in. Our time to meet was 8.45 and we were there 5 mins before that and no one was there, we waited 20 mins and no-one came. No one from our tour or the tour guide turned up and when we went downstairs to find the bus they had left without us. Ridiculously poor "tour". What a waste of money! And the bar we went to was crazy money for a drink.

I booked this tour for my clients and this is their response. --- I would like to inform you that our roof top tour was a bit of a mess and disappointing . We arrived early at the RIU to make sure we didn’t miss the bus . But apparently it had left without us, We were told from the bellboy that we missed the bus but then he came back out and said 'no your bus is coming' so we continued to wait for another bus. When it arrived there was no one waiting for a bus except a wedding reception group . Then we were told 'yes that is your group, go with them get on that BUS! There was not one person that asked our name or even stood out as a guide, like our previous excursions with blue vest or orange hat . We got on that bus and we were the only ones that spoke English. I felt very uncomfortable and was a little nervous. Long story short we made it to a bar the bus parked 2 blocks away and we walked which I felt even more uncomfortable, get to the bar the a man came to us and gave us a glass of wine and said meet at the elevator at 9 we again were early to the elevator and no-one showed up we did not walk back to the bus because at this point I felt would it even be there ? No roof top due to rain . So at this point I told the girls we needed to just get a cab as this was clearly a sketchy situation. I would never recommend this tour or certainly not through Viator.

My Uber didn't show. By the time I got another I was 5 min late. They had left, I called and they gave me the address of the first bar but it was too far away, I went back to my room disappointed.

Very nice that you can skip the line, have transportation, and get a free drink! Had a tour guide that spoke more than one language and was able to communicate with many different parties

The 2 bars we went to were very nice and top of the line. The drinks were amazing and not too overpriced.
The one thing we didn't like was the transportation in getting to the lounges. The host used uber (which was very strange). We had to wait 20 minutes just standing there and then when the first uber arrived, our host canceled it because it was too small to accommodate us !
More waiting! The group we were with was a bit snooty and not very friendly but it was 4 of us in our personal group so we just stayed to ourselves.
Overall, a decent night!

Firstly, this is not an English speaking tour! It is advertised elsewhere as an Italian tour so they spoke in Italian for 90% of the trip and a small bit of English (but even then, didn't mention everything wheb explainingin English!)
They do not have tables etc reserved so you just have to hope there is space
Amazing views from the bars which made it not a complete waste
