This trip thoroughly exceeded already high expectations on so many levels.
Firstly the amount we were able to see and do over 4 days, caves, safari, kayak, paragliding, beaches, penguins, whales to name but a few of the activities.
Fantastic accomodation throughout.
Its quite a packed schedule so suits someone who likes being on the road, not too much chill time.
However, the absoloute highlight/differentiation point of this trip was our guide Mawinde.
A terrific person, extremely knowledgaable and shared some amazing insights on the history of the Cape and South Africa generally. Having done multiple tours around the world and in Africa specifically, Mawinde is by far the best guide I have ever had the pleasure to work with.
Highly Recommend this trip and to request Mawinde!! He made an already excellent trip, unbelievable.

It's my first trip to South Africa and glad to be on this tour led by Mawande who gave us a visual narrative of the history and culture of the country. He made the effort to get to know us individually and curated the route to make the experience exceptional and personal for us.
The entire itinerary was well-organized with activities across eastern and western Cape Town. It was extremely memorable and delightful where we get to experience activities on land, air and sea. A professional and knowledgeable guide who goes above and beyond his call of duty to give us a glimpse of the vastness and richness of South Africa, and what it has to offer. Thanks Mawande for facilitating the entire engagement. It was made even more meaningful with beautiful memories and relationships forged!

Mawande has been a wonderful guide who is looking after us and ensure we had the best experience of the tour. He is so friendly from the first minute we saw him and has wide knowledge about Africa to been keeping us posted where we are and brief history on each small town that we passby. The tour is very structured and timing was very well managed by him too. Accommodation and food are very good! He ensures we see as much as we can yet not feeling being rushed. Double thumb up for him! Highly recommended for the tour.

An excellent and friendy tour. Mawande’s commentaries and knowledge of the history of South Africa and the Western Cape was excellent and made the Garden Route come alive. The trip was well structured with flexibility to accommodate any requests from our group. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

It was an amazing experience and our highlight during the trip to South Africa. Mawande always made sure we are safe and drove many hours each day so we can make best of the time to explore Garden Route area.
Also we learnt a lot about the African culture, local people’s life and struggle, history and economy etc by hearing stories from Mawande when we pass each places in the journey.
Our favourite part is the Garden Route Game Lodge and the two Safari game drive, it was a truly luxury experience and we saw big five animals apart from leopard.
The journey is full of surprises with many stops for view points, occasionally appearance of Monkeys and baboon. The dinners/breakfast are great and the accommodation are comfortable too. I will recommend this tour especially if you only have a few days to explore the Garden Route area.

Didn’t start well with 12 adults crammed into a very small bus .Ok for maybe a day trip but not for 4 days and hours on the road.We are not young back packers either so maybe people’s ages need to be considered.4 people left the tour because of this,so only then we decided to stay.Please be aware this isn’t a “safari” it’s in a sanctuary!!If I’d had know I would never have booked,so was very disappointed.All in all not a good trip but saved by the fantastic,knowledgeable lovely Guide Chris .would have liked a whale boat trip.Decent places to stay and eat .

I hate having to rate anything this low, but this has been a shockingly bad experience. The bus was crammed full of passengers and we were expected to cope with the cramped conditions for hours and days. I’m 6’2” and not particularly large, but this was too much to endure. With medical conditions, one of our party needed to be able to move to a small extent, which was not possible due to overcrowding in the vehicle. The other option was to bring up another vehicle and have us pay for a private tour, so that sounds a bit like a cynical business strategy to me… This was such a disappointment, high hopes initially, but we had to exit the tour due to the totally cramped conditions. So sad because the driver was truly brilliant but BokBus clearly put profits before customer satisfaction. They finally offered a paltry reimbursement that was an insult.
So beware, only take this tour if you’re comfortable to be crammed into a vehicle too small for the job. It would have been brilliant if only the greedy BokBus folk had left a few spare seats instead of cramming their bus to the gills.
It was a sad thing to have to bail, sorry

Everything was perfect, in our many travels we have never been guided by such a personable, knowledgeable, helpful and safe driver. All the activities were top notch but it was Christopher’s ability to take us to the “secret” places only a local would know that made the trip so memorable. On the fourth day watching the whale at Hermanus we almost felt South African. We will be back and take another BokBus tour.

Benjie was a terrific tour guide. There were only 2 of us on the trip but we saw everything on the Garden Route. Garden Route Game Lodge with game drives and terrific accomodation . Storms River and Cango Caves magnificent. View points visited all along the route well chosen. Andoloni Forest Lodge beautiful place at Storms River and De Akker in Outshoorn very comfortable. Lovely trip, lovely company and great food.

Amazing place to visit. Game keepers and all staff are lovely and really can't do enough for you.
Food is delicious, and game lodges are just amazing. Saw all the big five, and had a beautiful sundowner.
I honestly can't rate this place high enough.
