The communication and planning with Roberto was great! The information regarding our meeting point was easy. Francesco was our guide. He was very knowledgeable and entertaining as he told the story of Pompeii. We could visualize the events of the day in 79AD as he explained the story and told us about the lives of the people who lived there. He patiently waited as we snapped pictures and always answered our questions with a smile. I highly recommend this tour guide. I observed many people wandering around without or with a large group and I know they didn’t have the vision of Pompeii as clearly as we did. Book it!!!

Excellent tour with Roberto. It was easy to arrange time and meeting place before we came to Italy, and we met exactly as arranged. Roberto was professional and very informative, took us to both the “must see” sites as well as quieter spots with fewer tourists. His English is excellent and he answered all our questions. We truly enjoyed this tour and highly recommend Roberto.

This excursion from Rome was a long time in the making and Roberto was helpful all the way. He helped arrange for a shuttle from Napoli Centrale where we arrived by train from Rome and back.
Roberto was very personable and took his time to explain things to us at the right level of detail (considering that there were two teenagers). I mean when do you get to tour one of the most amazing archaeological sites of the world with a real archaeologist?
He said it early on and it is so true: You can only get a taste of Pompeii in three hours but a great taste it was!

Roberto was not available on the date we needed for a tour of Pompeii, but he referred us to Giada, who was extremely knowledgeable and far exceeded our expectations of a guide. She was vibrant and bursting with information. She really brought the experience to life for us. Three hours flew by! Her English was impeccable too.

This was a fantastic experience! Roberto met us at Herculaneum, gave us a tour of that site and then we reconvened at Pompeii. First, both sites are well worth seeing and should be on anyone’s ‘bucket list.’ Second, you cannot get the best of either site without a guide and Roberto was an excellent choice.
Roberto arrived on time, he is very friendly and pleasant and incredibly knowledgeable. The pace of the tour was very relaxed and the conversation flowed very freely. He answered questions with ease and there was no judgement on his part. We HIGHLY recommend Roberto!

Wow, Roberto was amazing! What an incredible privilege to walk through an expansive archeological site like Pompeii with a professional archeologist like Roberto. He knew every nook and cranny of the site (in fact, he has personally done excavation work there), gave us incredible insights and knew the answers to every one of our questions. He also managed to spark an interest in Ancient Rome from my two teenage girls. He was a perfect guide and gave us a perfect day, which turned out to be the highlight of our entire trip. The visit to Pompeia with Roberto was exceptional and very enjoyable, the hours flew by. We learnt a lot about how people lived in the city and the characteristics of the city. Roberto is very knowledgeable as an archaeologist, so any questions you may have will be answered quickly.
We are very glad we did the tour with his help, as we got a lot out of the time we spent at the ruins, I would recommend him to anyone.
