This exciting tour brings you to the ethnic neighbourhoods of Chinatown, Little India and Kampong Gelam. You will learn about the history, people, culture & heritage, which are what make Singapore uniquely diverse.
You will experience the everyday lives of the locals not only through sight and sound, but also through your taste buds. We will visit 2 UNESCO inscribed hawker centres (at Chinatown & Little India) and sample authentic local cuisines and drink, some of which have been passed down from generations and are fast diminishing due to the lack of family successors continuing with the trade.
To experience the local experience even further, we will also be taking public transportation between the different ethnic quarters, which are efficient, convenient and comfortable.
This tour will help you understand how the locals live their lives, which reflects Singapore's unique multi-racial and cultural lifestyle, and at the same time fill your stomachs with really amazing food and drink.

We have our culture and food tour with Gerry Tan. Before the trip, he had contacted us and gave us the impression that he would take good care of us. We were not disappointed. He was punctual and met us at our hotel lobby. He is knowledgeable and experienced in his work. We had a wonderful time and would recommend him to our friends.

One of our favorite tours while in Singapore! Our guide Gerry was phenomenal and really made this whole experience. It felt like touring Singapore with a friend vs a guide. He was so knowledgable about the history of each site and had some great, insightful conversations as a group. From Chinatown, to Little India to Sultan Mosque in the Malay neighborhood. Even the rain didn't dampen the day. What a truly wonderful experience, and it was all thanks to Gerry - highly recommend! Especially as a first timer in Singapore, this was a great way to see the different neighborhoods, their culture and their history in Singapore!

Gerry was amazing, very approachable and down to earth and willing to share his experiences with us so we could better understand Singapore; its culture, food and way of life. I have been on many food tours but nothing compares to this! Hands down the best mix of getting to know the location and their foods. My partner and I went back to one of the spots in China town for lunch the next day because it was just that good!
Just a tip, there is a bit of walking to see as much as we did so be prepared for this and wear comfy shoes/clothing :)

We had an incredible experience on the food tour in Singapore with Gerry as our guide. He was amazing! Gerry took us to Chinatown and Little India, and we had the opportunity to savor an abundance of delicious food. His knowledge and enthusiasm made the tour even more enjoyable. Highly recommended!

Amazing experience! Very authentic dive into the underground food scene of Chinatown, Little India and the Malay quarter. Could not be happier with Gerry very lovely start to my honeymoon. Would definitely do again if we come back to Singapore.

We had an amazing time. So much more food that I was expecting! We went to Chinatown, little India, Haji lane, and Arab street. This was the perfect way to see the different cultural areas of town and try foods I never would have known about before. I highly recommend this tour. Gerry was so knowledgeable and made it fun.

Do this tour at the very beginning of your Singapore trip and you get the most out of it. The tour could not be better organized, you will enjoy fantastic street food while Gerry will show you around historic places and besides teaches you how to use the local MRT and bus system. We can only recommend this tour to anyone visiting to Singapore. The tour is worth every penny.
