Fantastic tour which seems incredibly cheap for the experience we had. We hit the jackpot with our Berber guide, Hussein, who is an absolute wealth of knowledge on Berber culture, and was the perfect guide in every way. I'll be recommending Hussein and this tour to everyone I know who is going on holiday in Morocco!

It was a very nice experience and the landscape was definitely breathtaking. It was well organized and everything was taken care of. In winter you should definitely pack lots of warm clothes for the evenings and nights. Our guide was very friendly. Be sure to pack hiking boots, the paths are sometimes very slippery and rocky. I wouldn't recommend it for inexperienced hikers.

We had a wonderful time walking in the mountains! The evenings were such a vibe. The crew (Kamal, two Ibrahims and Youssef) made sure we had a lot of laughs! They provided us with delicious meals and snacks and ofcourse a lot of tea :)
Would definitely recommend!!!

We booked the tour and got confirmation of the pickup time and location from the local operator, Marrakech Day Trips. However they did not show up and could not be reached by phone. After an hour and a half we called Viator customer service who offered to do the tour the next day.
Then in the afternoon the tour operator called and asked why we had called him several times in the morning. When we (who had already been forced to find another hotel and had to change all our plans) explained that we were not picked up for our tour, he replied indifferently and without an apology or suggestion of compensation.
The tour the next day didn‘t take place either because the local operator did not get in touch (neither with us nor with Viator). Until today we disappointingly did not receive a refund from Viator, we are now to continue to wait for a response from Marrakech Day Trips (but are still hoping to find a solution). All in all we have lost two vacation days and 270€ for nothing, with a side of frustration and stress.

Offers of this organizer should not be trusted.

This was an INCREDIBLE experience. Our guide Houssein was absolutely brilliant. We learnt so much about Berber culture and Morocco in general whilst discovering some of the most remote Berber villages and trekking across the beautiful landscapes of the High Atlas. Our cook, Samil, made the most delicious fresh food for every meal. We ate extremely well! Everyone was so kind and welcoming and the guest houses were beautiful and very authentic. I would recommend this experience to everyone! 10/10.

Anytime I travel, I look for opportunities to do different things. I'm a 57 year old with my two older boys. Hiking for 2.5 days checked off those boxes. This was a great experience to get exposed to the Berber culture and spend some time in their villages. The views are extraordinary. Walking through the villages and hiking through shepherds tending their flocks gives you insight into their culture. The children are a delight with huge smiles. I'm in decent shape and it was physically challenging. Ibrahim Amzil was our guide and he was terrific. The three of us bombarded him with questions and he was more then happy to share. He was humorous and engaging. An excellent guide and it was a wonderful experience to have him share. Mohammed prepared our meals and food was simple and delicious. The simple accommodations are part of the experience. Well worth it!!!

We had a wonderful 3 day hike with Mohamed as our guide, we would really recommend this trip!! As previous reviews said, there was no contact from the tour operator until late the night before we left. We were told we would be picked up at 8.35 but our driver actually arrived at 8.15, so I would recommend being ready by 8am to be safe. We drove to Imlil and made 2 stops on the way, in a place selling crafts and then in an Argan oil co-operative. When we arrived in Imlil, we had the option of leaving our big bags there or bringing them with us, in which case they are carried by Mule. We met Mohamed and started our hike. There were 4 on our hike, my husband and I, and another couple, which was great! On the first day, we stopped in Mohamed's house for tea and a snack which was lovely. Our accomodation on the first night was really nice, en suite double room, and very high standard. Second night was more basic but still great. All the meals were home cooked and lovely - salads and tagines mostly! We had a magical time hiking through the villages of the mountains, amazing views, and so lovely to meet the Berber people and get to know their way of life. It was very peaceful, which was welcome after the loudness of Marrakesh. I wore running shoes, and I would really really recommend proper hiking shoes, as I was quite unsteady coming down slopes. The hiking poles helped though! Mohamed was a wonderful guide, very gentle, warm and friendly, and gave us so much information on the mountains and the people there. We are so so glad we booked this trip!!
