Oh where do I begin! I wish I could just relive this incredible experience all over again! K’gari is most definitely the highlight of our whole trip in Australia so far! This magical island captivated us with its beauty, history and wildlife! We were fortunate enough to have the awesome Arty as our tour guide, Arty is so passionate, informative and gets you involved with the culture of the island! He really gave us food for thought about the Butchulla people, the conservation of Dingos and preservation of the beautiful natural wonders we were immersed in during our 3 day stay on the Island. Stunning sunrises, eventful off-road driving in the jungle and along the beach then to top it off with a dip in the natural lakes! We were so lucky to have a fun group of like minded people who all got involved and engaged themselves into the full experience, which really completed this tour! I hope to do it all again one day!

We hired the 1 night couples camper experience. The safety briefing and overall check in was great, we felt well informed and happy, minus the sales pitch of unnecessary items such as the wheel track and sleeping bags (don’t bother with either). Also adding on little things during the build up such as a 50 dollar permit didn’t make for the best build up. When we’d already paid an extortionate amount of money.
The main reason we would never do this tour again was the vehicle not being fit for overnight camping. We got 2 hours of sleep max, due to the heat, lack of ventilation and overall inadequate sleeping conditions. Not having AC or being able to open the windows in the night due to flies made it completely insufferable during the night. We were both excited to camp overnight and other vehicles on the campsite were equipment to facilitate this, but you could tell the car hadn’t been thought out well enough. We had no GPS, Radio or AC so it felt like extortionate car hire rather than a fit for purpose overnight van hire.
This review isn’t to put you off using the company, as I’m sure the group tour is great and doesn’t face the same issues, but I would have loved to seen a review on this prior to booking.

We had such an amazing time on our tour. We like that it was a smallish group compared to other tours and mainly other young couples like ourselves. Arty was an absolutely incredible guide, we so valued all the extra information he gave us about the island and its history. The dorm rooms were comfortable and the showers good -much better than camping! The food prepared by volunteers was also good.
We visited all the main stops and had a great time trying driving which was fairly shared between everyone who wanted to drive.
Overall a great experience and I could see many benefits (better accom, really knowledgable guide, smaller group) over the other tours we saw around.

Honestly the best experience! I came on this trip on my own and came away with 20 new friends! Our tour guide Scott was incredible! It was well organised with delicious meals provided! The island itself was just beautiful with gorgeous lakes, beaches and wild life! 10/10 experience and would highly recommend!

Clean, beautiful accommodations with hot shower and all the food fresh and delicious (and plenty of it)! Our guide was brilliant and full of knowledge shared while driving along the beach or through the rainforest the pink 4wd (which were in great condition). With the driver briefing and knowledge given by staff and guide, driving on the island was a breeze and so much fun. Highly recommend whether it be a couple or group of friends!

If you can do with an other tour or by your own, do it !
I am going to be short but :
1. 9 in one car so very close each other no good experience
2. I hope you love sandwichs because you will eat it every lunch
3. Communication with the guide is not always good
4. Things can be done on 2 days because some afternoon we stoped the day around 2:30pm

In general, the tour was nice and we stopped at several nice places. However, I was missing getting a schedule in the morning so we would know what was going on and what to pack. Even when asking, the guide never really told us what the plan of the day would be and how long we would stay at different spots, which created unneccessary stress as we were always leaving places suddenly and in a hurry.
Also, while the dinners were nice, the lunch was often not enough and as a veggie, I had to eat uncooked falafel for lunch twice. Also, we never got snacks in between meals, so most people endet up having to purchase additional food in order to not be hungry all day.

The journey was an adventure Fraser Island is amazing our guide was great fun but unfortunately my wife n I were a little too mature ( mid 50’s ) for the tents and struggled with going to sleep each night not as agile as the young ones but we survived . 4wding and beach driving was a lot of fun
