Ancient lava flows have created a stunning underwater landscape on the neighboring island of Lanai. We love the underwater topography of caverns, lava shoots, swim throughs, and arches and you will too. Your experienced captain will determine the days sites based on conditions but you can expect to dive Lanai’s famous Cathedrals along with other locations.
Our group sizes are small with 14 or less divers and you will receive special attention from your instructors who will guide you on 2 exceptional dives and answer all of your questions about the marine life.
Our custom built boat, Hoku is the fastest and most comfortable boat that crosses the channel. Dolphins and whales are frequent visitors and we always stop when they say hi.

My daughter and I did the Lanai Cathedrals dive with Dive Maui. It was a fantastic experience. The staff, Captain Jack, Scott and Abbey, were super knowledgeable and their briefings were very thorough. We felt very safe and well taken care of. The cathedral dive was like nothing I have ever experienced before! On the way back we saw a pod of spinner dolphins which made our day even more special. If we are ever in Maui again, we will definitely use these guys!!

great crew and all activities well planned. i hadn't scuba dived for over a decade although i did a refresher before the dive. our team dive leader brian was a perfect balance of attentive and safety conscious while giving plenty of freedom to explore in my own way. saw and experienced many great things while enjoying the dive after so many years. the ginger candies and unlimited snacks were helpful to beat mild sea sickness.

The captain and dive instructors were fantastic. Their access to Lanai is unique in the fact it's the closest dive shop (with their own boat) to the island so they are able to frequent the dive sites which is an advantage in terms of their deep knowledge for the island and each site.
The Lanai Cathedrals were fantastic, we saw an array of sea life including massive schools of fish, eels, a Galapagos shark and black corral. Personally the black corral was extremely special because it requires minimal sunlight which is normally at very extreme depths but was within the rock cathedrals at depth of about 50-60 ft.
Would absolutely recommend this dive shop if you are trying to make the trip out to Lanai or dive the fantastic Mala Pier right in Lahaina town.
Grateful this business is making recovering from the devastating fires in 2023.

My boyfriend and I had an amazing time diving with Dive Maui. Everyone was incredibly nice and made sure all divers were comfortable and safe. The dive locations were of course stunning. This experience was one of our favorite during our vacation to Maui! If you are considering diving with this company absolutely go for it! You won't be disappointed.

One of the best dive experiences we have had! Scott is phenomenal. Made folks of all dive levels feel completely comfortable and appreciated. Beautiful and fun dive sites. 100% would do again.

We had a great experience with Dave Maui and particularly the boat crew. They took care of everything to ensure our diving was enjoyable as possible.
Jack was our captain of the boat and he knew the area very well. He aided everyone getting in and out of the water with their scuba gear on, making the transition very easy.
Abbi was our dive master and she was outstanding. Great briefing on what to expect. And then we dove the plan. Her speed was right where it needed to be so the group stayed together and we had a great dive.

Awesome trip! Fast, fun boat to Lana'i dive sites. Jack (captain) and Scott (divemaster) were both excellent and made the trip very enjoyable.

Unfortunately we did t get to do the dive due to Lahaina. Hindsight we should of kept our reservations and listened to the locals and came anyways. The government said dont come… now we hear the locals say come….

Such an amazing time! Really unique dive! Our Dive Master was Brooke and she was excellent 🤙. We saw so much cool stuff, sharks, octopus, frog fish, black chandelier coral ect. Please support this business and send positive energy to the Lahaina community as they cope with the tragedy of the fire.
