Our tour is a unique way to see the local Venice away from all the crowds. We explore areas that provide both a historical and modern perspective about Venice. Every Venice Kayak tour starts from our base in Cannaregio. Your guide will brief you on the route and safety procedures. Then, guests will be led to the gear where we have sun hats, dry bags, life vests, gloves and wet suits to help make your kayaking more comfortable. Once we are suited up you will be led to the kayaks where your professionally certified guide will give you a few lessons on kayaking properly through Venice. Once the guide sees you are set, it is time to go inside Venice to explore some truly hidden places. Throughout the tour your guide will take pictures so that you can remember the experience forever.

A very different way to see Venice and a very different way to kayak. The tour takes you to places tourists don’t see, in terrific kayaks that will please both beginners and more experienced paddlers. (They are very comfortable, stable and nimble sit-in boats). It’s urban kayaking at its best. Our guide, Alberto, was terrific too.

We loved this experience! It was so much fun and we had a great guide! We decided to do this tour on a whim and I am so glad we did. They provided everything we needed (we were not necessarily prepared) and it was awesome!

I loved this tour! JP was so welcoming, and our guide Alberto was caring of the group, and gave interesting historical information along the way. I'm so appreciative of the photos he took, as well as the celebratory prosecco at trip's end! Grazie mille to all the team for a wonderful experience, seeing a quieter part of Venezia from the water. 11 out of 10!

What an amazing experience! From the second we arrived at the check in our host JP was amazing. Our guide Mike was very experienced and full of knowledge during the trip. Stayed afterwards to get to know JP & Mike. The highlight of our family Italian vacation.

This was one of the coolest things I've ever done. Being able to go through the Venice canals and see things that you would not ordinarily see when you visit there was incredible. Massimo taught us a lot about the history as well, I would definitely recommend doing this if you are in Venice

We booked the canals kayak tour with our kids aged 7 and 9. We went in two tandem kayaks, along with another family who also had two kids.
We are not experienced kayakers but all loved this tour and the great guide who was very patient, engaging and friendly.
It was such an amazing way to see Venice and one we will never forget! I would love to do it again. The kids said it was their absolute favourite part of the trip :-). Highly recommended.

We had a fantastic time kayaking through the canals of Venice. Our children (aged 14 & 11) loved it, especially after spending so much time walking! Mike was really knowledgeable and I felt really comfortable knowing he was in charge of us crossing the larger waterways. It was really safe, lots of fun and something different and awesome to do. I really couldn’t recommend this enough as something different and memorable to do!

This was my second trip to Venice and we wanted to do something different with our teenage sons. This experience fit the bill and far exceeded our expectations. We had only kayaked once about 10 years ago but our tour guide, Mike, took the time to explain everything we needed to know. We got there early and the director, J.P, could not have been nicer and even gave us water and cookies while we waited. Mike took us into the canals and shared so much information about the history of Venice. Maybe even more interesting to me was his stories about living in Venice. He was super patient with all of us as we went along. He took almost 200 pictures of our group and within minutes of returning the Dropbox link was sent to us. I could not recommend this more. We’ll worth the money!!!

This was an exceptional tour! Both the tour operator and our guide, JP and Alberto respectively, were great!
I didn’t have much kayaking experience (didn’t see that it was for intermediates) and they were very keen and able to accommodate me. In the end it wasn’t an issue and I was able to kayak fine in a tandem, but these guys were fantastic in making sure we were safe and had a great time.
This is by far one of the most professional tour companies and excellent customer service I’ve had on all my trips to Europe. Both my partner and I highly recommend this tour - you will not be disappointed!

Venice Kayak provides a unique opportunity to view a quieter neighborhood from the water. We enjoyed learning bits of history and culture as we paddled through the canals. Crossing the lagoon and going briefly out into the grand canal were a little bit challenging. This trip is best for intermediate kayakers.
