Sitka Sound is home to the most amazing wildlife in the world. On our wildlife tours we often see seals, stellar sea lions, sea otters, whales (Humpbacks, Greys, Minke, and sometimes even Killer Whales!), and porpoises. There is a wide variety of birds in our area as well: bald eagles, puffins, and muir are just a few. Sitka Blacktail deer and Brown Bears are also a common sight. This wildlife tour is perfect for those looking to experience this amazing wildlife as well as the breathtaking and overwhelming scenery the Tongass National Forest. This tour has fantastic opportunities for photography and making Alaskan memories!
We explore inside waters surrounding Sitka where clients can get up close and personal with fascinating bays, beaches, landmarks, and wildlife. There will be local knowledge, insight, and possible viewing of the various commercial fisheries that take place in Sitka Sound as well!

Our host was great. We enjoyed seeing Otters, Sea Lions, Eagles, and Gray Whales! A blow-hole (water spout) was also seen onshore. Smelling whale blow was a whole new "treat" (!!). This was a very personal experience (4-5 passenger tour) vs. the typical large-boat "excursion".

Maureen was fun and friendly, she knew where to take us to see otters, seals, and grey whales. We had so many grey whales around us that we could smell their “bad breath” from the blow holes. We were so glad that we booked this private tour rather than going through the cruise ship excursions.

The trip was absolutely amazing and well worth it. Brody was very kind, knowledge and accommodating. The scenes were breathtaking and we saw all sorts of wildlife including eagles, sea lions and more whales than we can count. It was a wonderful excursion and we are so glad we booked with this small group rather than booking an excursion on the cruise ship. I highly recommend using Sitka Sea Level Adventures!
