On this tour we will visit most interesting sites of the national park. The content of it varies between the summer and winter season. You will be picked up in Prague and we will drive first to Germany to famous Bastei Bridge. Views from the bridge are just breathtaking. After that we will drive through Elbe Canyon back to the Czech part of the park. Do not forget to bring your passport or any ID with you.

We will visit the largest sandstone arch in Europe - Pravcicka brana, which is set in a countryside looking like the Lord of the Rings movie.

You will love a lunch in a local traditional restaurant where we cover one meal and drink.

!Only between April and October! After the lunch we will descend a hill down to the river to have a boat trip in the Wild Gorge. The scenery of the place is like a fairytale.

A total distance of the hike is 8 miles, divided into three parts. Most people, who are used to walk regularly can do it easily.

WHAT'S INCLUDED

WHAT TO EXPECT

1. Prague
You will be picked up in the morning at your accomodation in Prague together with all other participants. Maximum size of our group is 7. We will drive in a comfortable Mercedes van approximately 2 hours to our first stop on this tour which is in Germany. Rest room stops guaranteed.
2. Bastei Bridge
Passport or ID needed for this part. Our first stop on this tour is famous and picturesque Bastei Bridge in German (Saxon) part of the national park. A bridge that once connected land with the castle built in sandstone rocks. We will spend approximately one hour there and we will help you to get the best pictures and learn something about the place as well.
3. Czech - Saxon Switzerland
On our way from Bastei back to the Czech Republic we will drive along Labe /Elbe river approximately 30 minutes until we will get to the gate to the Czech part of the park - Hrensko village. We will park our van there.

Bohemian Switzerland is simply the Czech part of the national park. We will spend the bigger part of the day there doing various activities mentioned below.
5. Pravcicka brana - Sokoli hnizdo
The most famous part of the Czech half of this park - is the largest sandstone arch in Europe. We start our hike from the parking lot. It is 1 kilometr on the road and 2,5 km up to the hill (the same distance back then). For most people this hike is easy but some people who are not used to walk or exercise it can be more challenging. Take your time. You will make it to the top in the end and the views that are waiting there for you are worth it. Little kids, seniors, they all are hiking to the top every day. You will do it too. Easily. Remember, during the winter season (November to March) the arch is open only from Friday to Sunday. Tisa Rocks labyrinth is our winter alternative.
6.
You will be hungry. We will take you to a local restaurant to taste some good Czech food and a good Czech beer (or a soda if you like).
7. Edmundova soutEska
Between April and October only. Some people like this part the most. The gorge is really nice place. The access to it leads through long stairs in a forest down to a river. River Kamenice is in some parts accessible only via boat. And that is your trip. Boats leave from a port through the gorge and at the end of it they return back.
8. Prague
In the end of our day we will take you back to your hotels in Prague again.

I really enjoyed the whole experience!!! Honza was extremely nice and very knowledgeable on history and each location! I was really feeling it on the last climb and Honza stayed back to check on me. I learned so much fascinating history.

This tour is a total winner. A great day trip from Prague. Three stops, Bohemian Switzerland National Park, with its amazing rock formations, a forest that has been burned out, (I know sounds strange, but interesting), and hike down to an amazing gorge where a comical park guide takes you on a boat ride. All of it is spectacular. I had a bit of a cold so the hiking was at times a challenge for me, but they could not have been more patient. Lunch at a local restaurant was enjoyable, making it a wonderful day. A full day, great value, accommodating and
knowledgeable tour guide. Just book it and enjoy!

What an amazing day. Great communication from Filip about where to meet and time of pick up. 2hr drive to get into Germany. Van was comfortable, 7 on our trip. Plenty of toilet stop opportunities.
Honza was great at answering any questions, was very knowledgeable about the various rock formations and history. Good driver on the major highways but also negotiating Prague peak traffic.
The views at Bastei bridge were stunning, Honza was good at taking our photos too, to get the best shots. The hike to pravcicka gate is all up hill and with steps, about 45 min one way. Not for those really unfit. The boat ride in Edmund gorge is very tranquil, but again very steep to get down and over 200 steps to go down and return up. Lunch in Mezna was lovely, tradional meal. Soup and then a main.
Thankyou for a fabulous day.
Also was a plus, wet and cold in Prague, but was clear and fine at the National Parks. Only got drizzle again, when we returned to Prague.

We were stuck in the last/back seats in a small passeger van which the window rattled, thought it might fall out. Could not hear the guide speak on the long trip up to the location. We were required to keep these seats for the entire 10 hour journey. Extremely frustrating as I was in the middle back seat and did not really see anything on the long driving journey. Plus could not hear anything. Never again!

Terrific day trip to three parks. I was skeptical about hiking thru the park that had suffered an extensive forest fire, however, the sun glistening on the charred trees had a beauty of its own. Each of the parks is stunning in its own way.

At our first stop, we arrived as the park was opening, and virtually had the place to ourselves, what a nice break after the crowds of Prague!

Parts of the walks are rigorous, but you can go at your own pace. I'm over 70 and had no problem. My sister was suffering from a wicked head cold and sore throat, but she still managed to finish 2 of the hikes and over half of the third going at her own pace.

The tour guide was great, fluent in English, very informative, and very friendly. Equally important he was a good driver! We were picked up at our hotel at the appointed time and dropped off there at the end of the tour. The provided lunch was also outstanding.

This trip was well worth the price. Don't miss it!

Had a fabulous day trip with Ondra as our guide. Lunch was delicious. The scenery was stunning -- we were so happy for a day out of the city. Make sure you read the description and that you come prepared for a hike, with some hills and stairs. We had an amazing time and will be recommending to friends!

This as a great hiking tour! Me and my friend are in our 60's and my friend is not in the best shape. We were a little worried if this would be to much walking up stairs. My friend struggled a little with the pace since the rest of the group were much younger than us but we did it. After its all said and done, we were both very happy we did it. It was defiantly worth the effort.

A wonderful day spend covering atleast three different picturesque locations with hiking experiences. Time was well managed by the energized tour guides. It is an experience worth repeating.

You just have to mindful of maintaining the energy level throughout the tour. It involves close to 8+km of hiking through some of the medium steep levels of slopes and steps. Just carry enough water and keep pumping energy.

This tour is not for those who are not used to walking or hiking. While the tour guides did an amazing job managing the time, it would be better if they are reduce the speed of hiking - not everyone can match the speed at which they can move because they have a daily practice.

Overall - I recommend the tour and would be happy to go with the same guides to a different destination next time.
