10-day and 9-night of nonstop incredible experiences from beginning to ending. Our original summer plans fell through and we were lucky to find this tour. In most cases, we like to plan everything ourselves, but having no time to do so, we picked this tour that covers the whole spectrum of activities in Morocco, and we are grateful we did. It is a great itinerary, well thought out and paced, that encompasses most of the major attractions, sites, and cities that you would want to be introduced to on a first visit to Morocco. Med's responsiveness to our many emails and questions involved in the planning process of our trip was excellent. I just told him the dates we would be in Morocco and he came up with a perfect itinerary.
Our driver/guide Saiid was fabulous, he guided us very well on the local things to see and do and was extremely punctual, polite, and good fun. He always made sure we were safe and would only proceed with activities that we were interested in. Saiid likes sharing fun facts & historical information on the road (he drives very WELL ) And I really like that. Saiid was with us throughout this long trip from picking us up from Casablanca, driving to Rabat, Chefchaouen, and Fes, driving the long trip to Sahara Desert, and finally to Marrakech. We loved all of the cities we visited and we really became enticed by Marrakech as the gateway to the Sahara. This place exceeded our expectations of a Riad Nesma Suites. It was stunning, authentic, and comfortable. Getting to this place through the Marrakech alleys made the experience even more memorable. The food they served us was also delicious!
In Merzouga the camp was exceptional! The place, people, the beauty of the desert was beyond how I'd imagined it would be. We felt so safe & we enjoyed ourselves to the fullest! The desert during a full moon is stunning! (Leave early enough so you won’t miss the sunset and plan your trip to coincide with a full moon)
We added on the private local guides at all the historical sights which I'd highly recommend as a great way to take in the key information and highlights of the sites without being overwhelmed or wasting time deciding what to see.
Moreover, if you can add an extra day to your visits here, you won't regret the extra time exploring some other northern cities or just having some more time to relax in the Desert. In fact the tour operators were always responsive to our questions and requests and even worked with us during the tour when we wanted to explore changes. All in all a very positive experience and can't recommend this tour highly enough.

We've just returned from our unforgettable family vacation in Morocco where we visited the Sahara Desert, the Imperial Cities, and the village of Ait Benhaddou...etc. First of all, I would like to say a special word of thanks to Saiid and our local guide in Fes and Marrakech, Hassan & Mustapha. You didn't treat us as tourists but as your friends or families. The historical explanation you provided us was fascinating and always very clear. You also always answered questions that piqued our curiosity or interest. Thank you so much! This already began an amazing journey with great excitement and anticipation for the trips. Saiid was a great driver and also acted as a tour guide at times - with lots of helpful suggestions, he went above and beyond being our driver, giving us interesting information as he drove us from place to place, and even walking along with us during our camel ride, so he could take some of the best pictures we have from the trip! I'm so glad I decided to go on this Morocco tour as it has greatly enhanced my life –with a treasure trove of knowledge and very warm feelings about Morocco. We enjoyed myself so much that we would sign up for this tour again!
The car was comfortable and a relaxing way to get around the country. The company was so reliable and Med’s responsiveness to our many emails and questions involved in the planning process of our trip was excellent they were very helpful in working out the fine details to ensure we experienced the Morocco that we wanted fully. Would recommend it if you’re looking for a driver whilst on vacation (and would suggest asking for Saiid!). Technically speaking all the services we received were completely satisfying and first class; the arrangements in the various Riads were perfect. Every stop was fantastic and each hotel was amazing. Every restaurant recommendation was gorgeous, and each tour we had was incredible. We loved everything from the dromedary riding to the many live (concerts) of music we heard and participated in, to the fantastic night in the desert, and to the wonderful sunset and sunrise in the dunes.
Morocco was a wonderful country to visit! Our time in Morocco was like a flash! Our entire family was disappointed to leave, and we are thinking of coming back in the future! From my all family, I send you a big thank you for the excellent tour. If in the future we get a new opportunity to come to Morocco, we'll be sure to get in touch with you!
If you're visiting Morocco for the first time, you can't go wrong if you book your tour with this company. Thanks for a wonderful experience. I give 5 stars and would Highly recommended! without hesitation!

We had an INCREDIBLE!! 10-day tour of Morocco booked with this tour company. We had a magnificent time and you won't go wrong with "DesertTrips", it was very reasonable compared to other private tours we've done. We felt like everything that we booked was perfect. Every aspect of the tour was extremely well-organized from the airport pick-up to the drop-off, we met our driver, Khalil, who was professional and kind, a gentleman we all adored and trusted and he made the trip go incredibly smoothly.

The planning portion of the trip was led by Med who was always very quick to respond and very patient with all of our questions and changes. Just ask him anything and he will definitely get the answers for you!! Their services were prompt, professional, and courteous. Whenever we checked in to a new place Khalil did all the coordinating, all we had to do was show up with the bags and there was someone from the Riad waiting to greet us. we really couldn’t imagine a better driver/guide that could show me Morocco. While I learned a bit of Berber and Arabic to be able to check in and out, it was really helpful to have someone who spoke the language handling this for us instead!

Regarding lodging, the places we stayed were great and as expected or better. It was always clean, luxurious riads, well-located for the activities we were undertaking. One great aspect is going out and exploring and enjoying the outdoor areas as well as the courtyards! The food at Riads was excellent and breakfast was included in all Riads. Riad Ahlam in Fes was beautiful on the inside and had an excellent menu along with some of the best service. Our stay at Oasis Luxury Camp and Dar Hassan in Merzouga was way more luxurious than we were expecting and again the food for both meals was incredible. The Riad in Dades was lavish and the pool in the courtyard was gorgeous.

Our driver/guide Khalil the wonderful Berber man from the Desert!! He was absolutely awesome, warm, friendly, very helpful engaging man, and catered to our every need. We spent a lot of time with him yet had our private time as well when touring, eating, etc. He was likewise a safe driver and we felt comfortable with him every moment of the trip. He was knowledgeable about the country, geography, history, culture, and the spots to experience the best views, guidance on where to buy things we were interested in, and always made an effort to ensure we had what we needed.

In regard to the excursions, we really enjoyed them all. In particular, I noticed how much more personal the activities were compared to what others had. while in Marrakech we had a private guided tour so it was just the four of us plus our local guide. While walking through the Souk we would occasionally see large tour groups bustling about and it just looked unpleasant compared to our one-on-one experience. It was really nice to have that private experience and that's something I wouldn't have thought about if I were to manual all the excursions myself.

It was one of the most unforgettable experiments of my life. We’d highly recommend it to anyone who wants to truly get a personalized experience in Morocco!! We look forward to exploring other destinations in the future.

Our trip to Morocco was outstanding. We booked this trip online and were immediately connected with the tour operator, Mohamed with Desert Trips, who was very responsive, answered all of our questions and accommodated all of our changes to customize this trip based on our requests.
Our driver and guide, Hssaine, was amazing. Always smiling, friendly, welcoming and extremely knowledgeable about Moroccan history, geography and culture. We had great conversations that gave us a real understanding about life in Morocco in the past and present time. He was always available to drive us anywhere we wanted to go in the cities, no matter what time.
The local guides in Fes and Marrakech were also outstanding. They kept the tours interesting, fun and exciting - never a dull moment.
I highly recommend Desert Trips to anyone planning a trip to Morocco and give Hssaine our highest recommendation.

My parents and I just completed a 10D and 9N tour of Morocco with DesertTrips. We contacted Med just three weeks before we departed. With his knowledge in this area, he can quickly come up with an itinerary for us and give prompt responses to our requests and inquiries. Actually, we initially planned the Morocco trip on our own. But DesertTrips made it easy and comfortable. The result was exactly what we had hoped for. If you are thinking of booking a tour through Morocco, stop looking at other options and book here!! You won’t be disappointed. Our guide and driver, Khalil was wonderful, and this is the most important part of our experience. Khalil was an extraordinary individual whose driving skills were excellent and calming, from city driving to rural backroads he was consistently smooth and safe. With his sense of humor, attentiveness, and professionalism, he was always ready to share the historical, religious, and cultural aspects of Morocco, help us to tackle our problems, let us never feel bored, and give us practical reminders. He was very inciteful during our stops along the route walking with us through the various sites and adding a special charm that only he could deliver. It was really a pleasure to spend our vacation with him. The vehicle we traveled in was clean, up-to-date, and spacious. Also, he supplied us with bottled water each day to make us feel comfortable along the way. I truly can’t imagine a more organized, responsive, or trustworthy company to work with. Our local private guide in Marrakech was a dream come true. He gave us a special tour through the old city, Bahia, and El Badii Palaces...etc, which was fabulous. We got to see so much and learn so much about Moroccan life and culture. His kind demeanor and informative presentation were exemplary. He ended the tour by bringing us to a great restaurant in the newer section of the city. The other local private guide in Fes. He was a funny and special individual who needed to be applauded for his presentation filled with historical and everyday knowledge as a local Fes resident, From start to finish it was very well organized. Every Riad & hotel was first class as outlined by Med, and the people operating the accommodations are genuine, wonderful, and want to ensure you every need is met. The favorite part of the trip for my parents and me was definitely the night we spent in the Desert we had fun during the camel riding and saw the most beautiful sunset in the desert!! Under the starry night and Berber music, we had the most unforgettable and splendid time there!! For lunch, Khalil would stop us at local restaurants which were all Our itinerary and offered tasty Morrocan food. We do spend quite a lot of time in the car but the ride was very smooth and comfortable, plus we frequently stop at different cities to explore. Khalil was an absolute star. We certainly felt we benefitted from his local knowledge, especially in the Sahara Desert! All thanks to Khalil for touring us around. This is by far the best tour I’ve had with my family!! This tour is worth every penny! Highly recommended!!

Our driver Hssaine was kind, friendly, courteous, punctual, and a great communicator throughout our over 1100km trip. He always put our needs first and we feel like we left Morocco having a new friend. Highly recommend him as your driver/guide through this amazing country.

As seasoned world travelers, our trip to Morocco is already considered one of our best vacations. We found nothing but Moroccan smiles, acts of kindness and friendship across our visit.

From beginning to end, the Desert Trips team facilitated every movement, short cut, entrance, with possible things to do or see aided by a team of professional city guides, considered insiders by the locals, experts on past and present of Moroccan culture, and care about you and your precious vacation time in Morocco.

I could rave about the entire tour, but I want to highlight a few things here:

Communication up to the trip, during, and after was excellent. Med asked some basic questions a day or two after booking and answered our questions as we asked them. During the trip we relied on Wi-Fi at local restaurants, Hotel rooms, and our Riads – never had a problem with getting connected. So, for us, a SIM card was not needed. Due to flight changes, Med booked us in a hotel in Casablanca vice Marrakesh the night before departure – the hotel two minutes from the airport.

Said our driver and guide outside of the cities (the cities are contracted for their own guides), is one of the kindest, smartest, and safest persons we have ever met. Somehow, Said picked up on our family’s humor on the first day and became more of a friend than guide! As a driver his skills are first class – seriously he is better than I could have attempted and we always felt safe. Said’s wit and presentation is flawless and his ability to surf the crowds and get you to the secret spots were evident. We snapped way too many pictures on free time and then asked Said to help us figure out what we photographed – he was always eager to help. Said really shined when we arrived in the Sahara. We immediately went off-road in the 4x4, plowed through to our waiting camels and got to riding! Don’t worry your luggage is being taken to the camp. The supper, our tent, and the live music played around the fire amazing – Said is an excellent drummer! One of the hardest goodbyes we’ve done, but we want to come again and Said, Desert Trips will be our first priority for planning and touring.

Said has texted us since our departure to make sure we made it home safely, and even sent a follow-up video of the Berber boy and his baby Camel in Dades saying hello! Said is a true, genuine ambassador of Morocco!

Traveler tips: the only ATM that does not charge 4-5% fees are the ATMs associated with the Moroccan Post Office. Look for the yellow store front for Maroc Post. Also, add WhatsApp for easy texts between team, get a VPN for your phone – leave in Airplane mode, no Wi-Fi. We brought small candies for the kids, expect to be a little tired – this is so worth it!

Our very first impression on the first day we landed in Morocco was "Don't look outside, look inside!" Seems nothing to see outside the buildings, but when you look inside, wow, surprise, amazing.....! Perhaps it is the philosophy we learnt from Moroccan. Heartfelt thanks to DesertTrip & our wonderful & caring driver, Said.
No question, it was one of our best trips in life.
As a couple, among others, we were fascinated by the artistic & handcrafted heritage palaces & mosques, touching sunset & sunrise. To our surprise, we were moved by the skillful photography of our great guide/driver in the starry & almost completely dark desert.
Must not forget to mention those souvenirs like paintings, lightings, ceramics, potteries. All are handmade, representative & value for money.
Surely, there isn't enough room to write & text to express more about this entranting Morocco. Simply leave it to you to discover!

We arranged our Moroccan tour from home after reading many glowing reviews. We incorporated some customization to align with our schedule, and our guide Khalil handled these adjustments seamlessly. Our 13-day tour took us from Casablanca to Rabat, Chefchaouen, Fez, Marrakech, and Essaouira.
Our trip was nothing short of incredible, and it all began with our remarkable and knowledgeable tour guide who cared for us from day one. Khalil even guided us to safe neighborhoods. Through his connections in the "Berber Network," he secured us fantastic accommodations in various Rabats, where the staff was consistently exceptional.
It's essential to maintain a positive attitude, show compassion, and embrace the bright side of life to truly appreciate this experience. While their service is excellent, with assistance in carrying luggage, purchasing water, and taking you to stores, there might be some situations that present unexpected challenges. If you're extremely high-maintenance, this trip may not be the best fit, as it involves quite a bit of walking, stairs, and navigating uneven surfaces throughout.
One of the unforgettable highlights of the trip was the Berber camp. It began with a camel ride from Merzouga City across the dunes to a place known as Erg Chebbi. Here, we enjoyed a hearty meal and then gathered around a Berber campfire. The evening included Berber music, jokes, and a captivating Berber dance. The night ended with individual photos under the starry desert sky.
To truly make the most of this adventure, bring your appreciation for the culture, a positive attitude, and an adventurous spirit. This is a trip of a lifetime that rewards those who approach it with an open heart and an open mind.
